enjoy!
Once the car made it down the road a bit I glanced over at Adam. He smirked at me quickly and put his eyes back on the road. I felt like this was the best choice I ever made today. Not that I didn't want to spend time with Isaac. Because, I didn't really want too. He wasn't my friends, and I didn't feel like we had that much in common that would bring us together and become friends. I just felt sorry for him with Valerie. He was a good guy and deserved better, but I couldn't make someone open their eyes and see something that was right in front of their face.
"So, who was that?" Adam finally asks in a perky tone.
"Nobody." I reply quickly.
"He didn't look like nobody to me." Adam replies smiling widely at me.
"He was nobody to me." I replied briskly with a bit of a harsh bite.
"We're on our way to a dinner to pick up my friend Leah. You'll like her." Adam says after a bit of silence.
"Okay." I replied nodding my head a bit.
"After we get her, we'll meet up with Liam and Roz." Adam states softly at first and picks up his tone towards the end.
"Sounds good." I reply.
He shrugged at me and started to laugh a bit. We sit in silence for a while, about ten minutes later we arrive at a town not far from where I lived with my Uncles family. The dinner was a long building with not a single car parked out front. The windows were wide and the outside was silver, mostly metal looking. The roof looked tin, and old. Like any breeze that whipped by might blow it clear off. The sign on the top named the place as "Jinny's Dinner" in bright flashy letters, I in Jinny was old and blinked a little bit.
Adam parked his car right in the front right side of the dinner.
He turns off the engine and pulls the keys from the ignition signaling that we have arrived. Once he opens his door I do the same to mine and we both climb out of his car.
Adam leads the way towards the entrance of the dinner and opens the door which "dings" slightly and steps inside letting me inside behind him. Once the door is closed behind me he moved a slight bit towards the counter and to my left I notice a girl coming towards us. Adam turns to his left and sees her too and that's when all hell breaks loose.
She starts into a run and pretty much tosses her self at him. And by toss I mean, she like full on launches her self mid air into his arms and wraps her long legs around his waist which I doubt he was expecting. The weight of this tiny girl makes him some how fall over backwards onto the dinner floor with the result of this tiny girl straddling his mid section slapping playfully onto his cheeks.
This girl has her hair in a high messy bun pony tail with a pink band on the top of her head. Her hair is brown and her eyes are a dark color, she has a sleeve tattoo and is wearing a light pink sleeveless top with jeans. Dark boots are on her feet which happen to be on either side of Adam at the moment.
He's laughing so my only guess is. This must be Leah.
Adam pretty much tosses her off which has her falling on the floor laughing.
I've been standing by the entrance watching the whole scene unfold. I can't tell if they are like this all the time or if this was a one time thing. But I'm leaning towards this is their normal attitude towards each other.
"Jesus Leah, I think you broke my ribs." Adam laughs from his laying down position on the floor.
"Oh please, like I could break your anything." Leah scoffs at him, taking her foot and shoving his torso with it.
