Texas 30
The day went by quickly; Adam had come by to get us after closing time at Leah's. Her Aunt had not come in until well after two o'clock, so when Leah said she was going out, her Aunt didn't even argue. There wasn't even much discussion, she just stated her fact and walked right out of the front entrance. Adam and I quickly followed behind her. I hadn't spent as much some with Leah as I had with Roz, but I could tell she was annoyed.
Honestly if I was in her shoes id have felt the same way. She was nineteen, I was sure she could have been going away to college or had a scholarship, or just gotten far away from here. She obviously felt obligated to stay for a reason. May it be Roz, or her Aunt? Maybe it was Liam; maybe she couldn't leave him behind and make a life for herself. Whatever the reason I felt sorry for Leah. Not that I should have she made her choices but she was a nice person deep down under that rock solid front she gave the world.
We all pilled into Adam's car and drove to get dinner. The plan was to make sure we weren't seen by anyone, to blend in which didn't happen to be all that hard without Roz and her rainbow hair. We were ordinary without her around to spice up the look. Once we ate we all went back to Adam's to change into our clothes. We needed the whole black outfit and the mask's the three had provided us with. I put on one of Adam's black hooded sweat shirts and a pair of black jeans Leah had given me.
I was smaller then she was, and it happened that she had a lot of her left over old clothes that she didn't fit anymore, so I just kind of took all she gave me and shoved it into the corner in Adam's room. I was living out of a trash bag but I didn't even really care. I'd live out of less to be with Adam every day.
After getting dressed, Leah and I sat in the living room watching TV for a while. Adam sat with us for about five minutes before he got a phone call and left to go take it in another room.
Soon there was a knock at the front door and I looked over at Leah, she got up and answered the door. It was Liam. He came inside in his dark clothes, they looked good on him. Normally he wore browns, or even blues. The black looked good on him.
"Hey girls." He said in his deep baritone.
"Hey-" I said, looking back at the TV trying not to stare at them.
"Hey babe-"Leah said leaping at him like she normally did. He caught her with little effort and walked them over to the sofa, which then went into a Liam and Leah make out session.
I tried to look away, I really did-
"Jez- Guys come on." I said laughing. "Go get a room would ya."
Their lips made a sucking sound that made me almost want to throw up a tiny bit in my mouth. Leah pulled away and looked over at me from her location on Liam's lap. She was straddling him like today was her lucky day. It sure wasn't my lucky day. Since when had a not had a lucky day?
"Sure thing baby cakes- We'll go do it on Adam's bed.- Not wait- his mothers." Leah said giving me an eye roll, and rolled off Liam's lap and sat next to him. they instantly looked cozy.
"Don't be a smart ass Leah." I said giving her a dirty look.
"Sorry Mia-"Liam said only to have Leah cover his mouth.
"Don't be sorry- it's not our fault she isn't in the other room getting her thing on with Adam." Leah said narrowing her eyes at me.
"Yes, because I don't spend twenty -four hours a day having sex.- like SOME people." I said laughing.
"Please that was kissing." Leah said throwing her hand at me and running her fingers on Liam's lips and kissing him again.
"Well- if you're going to get busy on that couch, warn a girl." I said getting up and leaving the room.
