Two days later...

We've been at sea for two days, we are heading back home now. Airini is married to a demigod friend of Maui, that's how they know each other. He's a demigod of the air and sky, I've been told he has wings like a bird that sprout from his back. When Airini married him, she was granted the title of half blood demigoddess. She has a beautiful pair of wings she keeps hidden under her cloak, they look like those of a green hummingbird. Her husband Anitelu supposedly has wings similar to Maui's in his giant hawk form. She's been awfully quiet since we got onto our own boat.
"Maui?" She speaks up, she was sitting next to me, leaning against the mass.
"Whatcha need birdy?"
"Don't call me that," she rolled her eyes and grew serious. "I have to tell Anitelu something but I don't know how to say it," she fidgeted before standing up.
"What do you need to tell him?" Maui asked with curiosity and amusement.
"I, um..." she trailed off and pulled the fabric of her top up. Her stomach had a small tattoo around her belly button. It looked like a cradle made of clouds. Maui took one look at it and grew exited. I was confused until it hit me, she's having a baby!
"Congratulations!" He picked her up and twirled her in the air before putting her down. She seemed happy but anxious.
"What's wrong?" I put a hand on her shoulder and the whole boat goes quiet.
"Anitelu likes exploring, and traveling just like me. We both crave adventure like the two of you," she says, me and Maui blush slightly. "And a baby? That would mean settling down for a while, and not going out on dangerous yet thrilling adventures...." she trailed off again, pulling the fabric back down and covering her tattoo.
"Everything is going to change," she looked out to the sea.
"Hey," Maui had a soft yet cheeky smile. "No doubt he is going to freak, he's becoming a dad! But he's going to be exited too, he'll be a good father," he pushed her shoulder a little in a playful manner. I just look at him, there is something about him in this moment, that just makes my heart flutter.
"Eh?" She looks at her shoulder, do all demigods have mini tattoo versions of themselves? It pointed to the air, we looked up to see a man with huge wings approaching.
"Guess I have been away from home for too long," she sighed and we all moved to the corners of the boat. He landed in the centre, not much of a splash as he landed, gracefully.
"What's going on here?"
"Someone got themselves trapped, Te Fiti sent me," she raised a brow at me and Maui, as we were both next to each other on the crowded boat. They both laugh before kissing softly, I look away. They separate and look back at us.
"What did you do?" He asked playfully.
"I lost my heart?" I shrugged, looking down at the X on my chest, this thing is going to be here till I die eh?
"Mortals can't loose their hearts," he said in an amused tone.
"Well I'm pretty sure I'm human," I raise a brow at him. I tap Airini on her shoulder and motion over to him. Her fun smile drops to serious, nervousness flooding her.
"Breath, and tell him," I whisper in her ear. She takes a deep breath and nods.
"Hey, Anitelu?"
"Yeah what's up?"
"There's something i- that I need to tell you," he noticed her seriousness and grew concerned.
"Is something wrong?" He took both of her hands in his.
"I, I'm-" she looked away, taking a deep breath she faced him again. "I'm pregnant."
