Time to go back up, I'm out of fruits. Maybe I should just convert this little area into and actual Home. A little hiding spot from the rest of the world. I've been down here three days, I should defiantly go back soon. I'll wait until nightfall, my eyes wonder over the lagoon again, then back to the cave... again. I need to do something, anything. I stand up and walk over to the small patch of bamboo just off to the side. I pull a piece out, this one is actually hollow, how do these thing just grow without anything in the middle? I look at it, it looks like the things the Taka Mora shoot blow darts at us with. An idea pops into my head, it's something to keep me busy.
A few hours later.
I put the rod of bamboo down and decide it's finally time to go and grab some more stuff for down here, until-
"Hey, you down here Mo?"
"Yeah, I'm down here Maui," I call out. Suddenly my shoulders drop as I remember why I came down here in the first place. His giant hawk form flies down before changing to himself beside me.
"Did you fall again?" He smirks at me.
"No, im hiding," I drop my head in shame.
"From what?" He laughs and rolls his eyes at me.
"Suitors," I mumble.
"Can't hear you princess," he says jokingly. I take a deep breath.
"Suitors," I say in a more normal tone. He pauses, as if not knowing how to react.
"Why on earth would you need a suitor?"  He asks. I shrug, not wanting to answer.
"So, where did you run off to?" I raise a brow at him, my face in a smirk. He clears his throat.
"That, you will have to see for yourself." He smiles and takes my hand.
"Is there anyway we don't have to go through the village?" I ask hopefully. Only to hear the ocean behind me, I turn and see my boat, our boat.
"Sorry drumstick, your gonna have to stay," in an instant Maui is his giant Hawk form and flies Hei Hei up to the village, returning with an arm full of fruit and dumbing them in the ships cargo hold.
I hop on and we paddle out of the small lagoon before releasing the sail and taking off.
"What's on your mind?" I look at him.
"What do you mean?"
"You seem lost," he smiles cockily at me as he leans. "Like, zoned out I mean."
"Just got a lot on my mind, and it doesn't help that the village is trying to play match maker write after fathers passing," I look down at the water.
"Yeah, what is with that anyways?"
"Apparently there is this old rule that the chief has to be marry before 21."
"So? Too late."
"Not that simple, if I suddenly have to marry by my 23rd birthday, so they've started picking suitors," I roll my eyes.
He stayed quiet. I turn to look at him, he looks at me with an unreadable expression.
"But hey, you sailing away with me?" I smile. "I guess you could say, Maui, demigod of the wind and see, hero to all. Just saved me from all that."
I punch him playfully. He chuckles.
"Kid, I'm no ones hero."
"You've been my hero, more times than I can count," I pull his head down by his necklace. Eyes closed, I rest my forehead on his.
A clap of thunder snaps our attention forward, there's a see storm forming in front of us.
"This should be interesting," I smile, moving to tighten the sail. A thunk draws my attention, an all too familiar spear is sticking out of the deck. Kakamora.
"What do they want now?" I mutter to myself as a dozen more Spears hit the ship.
"What could they want?" Mayi asks.
"No idea!" I yell as I pull the barbed Spears from the boat. I feel a sting in my leg, I look down and see a blowdart in my knee.
"Moana!" I see Maui struggling to walk over to me, four darts sticking out of him. I move forward to him, or at least try to. The dart affects kick in all at once, my brain begins to swirl. We both grab the mass for support, looking up at the ship as the storm envelopes us. The ship get a huge knock and everything goes black.
