The dust began to settle and all that was left was Sabrina's motionless body lying on the ground beneath Kendra's feet. Kendra rolled her neck and sighed, stepping over the body as she cracked her knuckles.
Aspen dropped to the ground, cusping her mouth with both hands as Kolton just blinked in silence. Noah turned away, his body horizontal to the seen as he clamped his eyes tightly closed. Darius stood still, not sure how to react.
"You need to find the real Sabrina- and soon."
"She's right. There." Kolton spat, tears trickling down his face as he angrily glared at the warrior in front of him.
"And she's okay," London stated as the group snapped to look at them.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Noah questioned as London smiled excitedly.
"Ungh." She groaned, clutching her chest as she checked her own pulse. She sat up slowly, checking as to why her heart felt as if it skipped a beat.
"No- you're dead!" Kendra exclaimed, spinning to look at the living corpse.
"I did?" Sabrina choked, coughing a few times as she pounded her chest. "Fuck, death hurts."
"SHE'S ALIVE!" Aspen screamed, running towards her friend and pulling her from the ground in a tight hug.
"You're- you-"
"You're the one who did it wrong, don't stutter at me." Sabrina smirked, still holding her chest as she used Aspen as a crutch.
"You- you- I'll kill you!"
"Okay, let's do this again," Sabrina cooed, removing her arm from Aspen. "Move before she sends another rogue punch." Sabrina ordered as Aspen gave her a confused look, her watery eyes being blinked away.
"SHUT UP!" Kendra screamed, charging Sabrina with a growl. Sabrina dove with a roll out of the way, landing in a squatted position. Kendra drove herself straight into a wall, crashing into it hard.
"Ten years and you haven't learned a damn thing."
"What the hell is happening?" Darius asked, confused to the new interaction.
"We should stop this." Noah ordered, taking a step forward as London shook their head.
Kendra charged up another flaming fist, about to thrust her body into Sabrina. Instead, Sabrina jumped up just before Kendra landed it and flung herself into a support beam in the roof. She hung from it for a second before dropping to the ground, leaving Kendra to aimlessly charge into another wall.
"This is the time you try that cube of yours. Just her side- not the whole thing."
"What? Why-" Kolton began, pulling the cube from his pocket.
"Where it is supposed to enhance the abilities before short circuiting the user, in theory, right now it would reactivate her full abilities. This city isn't nearly as big as it should be 10 years later. Something is locked away." London explained. "If there is any time to do it, it would be against someone who can't die."
"Is it really that easy?" Aspen asked, now back with the rest of the gang towards the entrance.
Sabrina slid underneath Kendra's desperate attack, using her quick reaction time to keep herself alive. Sabrina pulled herself from the ground, huffing as she was running out of adrenaline to fight with. Kendra was completely full of fury and showed no stopping anytime soon.
