"Well that was boring," Aspen yawned, throwing herself back onto the couch. The six young adults were now fully dressed in their hero costumes, checking them out. "And anticlimactic."
"You guys wanted to skip the montage, so it's your fault we didn't have fun," Noah argued. Although, he didn't really have a reason to have fun with his costume, as it was just his body fully transformed. His voice was muffled underneath the red titanium plating covering his head, but his voice was clear.
"It's...lighter than I expected," Sabrina commented, rubbing at her arms. It was a soft material but felt durable and strong. It was dark grey with black and light grey accents- a full-body suit with thicker gloves, arm padding, and light boots, along with a mask and headband. On the headband was a white arrow.
"It's infused with Kevlar and some other synthetics. I figured a ninja would want flexible, light clothing to sneak around in."
"Breezy, huh?" Kameron whispered as Sabrina gave her a glare.
"Yeah, am I gonna fill those soon?" Sabrina questioned, trying to reach at the giant slits in the back of the suit.
"Those are for your wings. For your tail, I-"
"I located the butt flap, thank you." Sabrina interrupted.
"Well, come on. We have a long trip ahead of us." Kolton replied. "Noah, you know how to get to to them, right?"
"How? I thought you said-"
"I say a lot of things, Sabrina." Noah interrupted, holding up his hand. "I managed to get a tracking device stuck to Harmony. She's powerful, but stupid. We know where the tracker is, but we don't know if that's where she is. We'll head there first."
"How long is the trip?" Sabrina asked.
"A few hours." Kameron replied. "We can use our doors to get into the right realm. Luckily, we know their hide out isn't with humanization, it's back home." She explained.
"It's a bit of a walk." Aspen continued. "In a white glowing void."
"Comforting."
"It's not too bad." London answered. "I used to live in a void."
"Nice to know." Sabrina nodded, giving a shy thumbs up.
Noah tossed his card to the floor, allowing for his dimension to open back up. The door was already swung open, revealing his robotic dimension. They entered into the cybernetic world towards a small shack with a steel door. Noah swung open that door to reveal a white void.
This is where their adventure began.
Noah explained to Sabrina that "home", being where their people lived, was only access-able under specific circumstances. One, was a dimension transport. Someone with a dimension that had a connection back home. Then, they had to have the "Void Door" that Aspen lovingly nicknamed. This would get them into the right realm. After that, it was a hunt for home. The Dimension Lord who helped create this realm wanted to make sure that only those who should access the realm, could. This would keep those like humans, and for a long time, demons from breaking in. Once they would get back to the great walls that surrounded their society, they would need one of the Council members to open the door.
Other than those specific rules and regulations, the rest was simple: traverse the white void. It was slightly chilly, but there was no physical breeze. The light illuminating the area and the feint glow in the distance surrounding them made no physical sense, either. It seemed as if they were in a large cardboard box, but none of the edges were visible. The only comfort to the group was knowing that at any point, a single dimension card could let them exit. Not to mention, they knew they would not get lost- the sticky trail of glitter and spray cheese made sure of it.
