Eliza's pov

Arizona and I are at the carnival with Sofia and our 6-month-old son, Timothy. I am looking at the rides in action, waiting for Arizona and Sofia to come back from the bathroom when I hear a familiar voice say: "Elizabeth Minnick! Long time no see." I spin around to see my ex, Brooklyn, standing there. "Hey Brook," I say awkwardly. I dated Brook back in med school. We broke up when she moved to Minnesota to work at the Mayo Clinic after realising long distance dating doesn't work. I have no idea what she is doing in Seattle. "You still watching people's kids for extra money?" She asks, nodding to Timothy who is balanced on my hip. (picture above) "Oh. No. This one's mine." I say as I ruffle his blond hair. "Mommy! Look what I won!" Sofia calls as she drags Arizona over. My heart fills with warmth. I love it when Sofia calls me mommy. I love her as if she was my own. "Whatcha win, Sof?" I ask. "A bear!" Sofia says, happily showing me a teddy bear. "That's great, kiddo. God job! Oh! Right. Arizona, this is Brook, an ex. Brook this is my wife Arizona and my kids, Sofia and Timothy." I say. "Nice to meet you!" Arizona says as she shakes hands with Brook. "Mommy! Can I ride the carousel?" Sofia asks, tugging on my hand. "Ok, missy. Be right there." I laugh. "I'll text you," Brook says, winking and walking away. Arizona and I watch as Sofia rides the carousel, smiling. "Were you too serious?" Arizona asks softly. "Yes, but Brook was always a flirt. It drove me crazy. Know I am only yours and I wouldn't trade our family for anything. I love you," I say as I kiss Arizona's check. "I love you too." She promises. We hold hands, our baby boy on my hip, as we watch our daughter smile and laugh. I coudln't be any happier.
