Chapter Thirty Nine: I'm Coming Home

Arizona sighs and closes the laptop, placing it on the table. God she misses her wife. Eliza's been gone for four months. Arizona picks up a photo that she has on the coffee table. It's a picture of the pair on their wedding day. They are both smiling and staring into each other's eyes. Tears fill Arizona's eyes. God she misses her so much.
One week later....
Arizona is eating her dinner sadly. It's her birthday tomorrow and Eliza is still over seas. Suddenly, her phone goes off. Eliza's name appears. She smiles and picks up the phone. "Hey baby." She greets happily. "Hang up the phone open the front door." Eliza orders. "What?" Arizona asks confused. "Trust me." Arizona shrugs and hangs up, getting up and walking to the front door. She opens it and gasps in surprise. Eliza is standing there, in her military uniform, grinning. "Happy early birthday Arizona!" She exclaims, opening her arms. Arizona rushes into them and clings to her wife. Eliza hugs her tightly and gently cups her face, forcing Arizona to look at her. Tears glisten in Arizona's eyes. "Hey don't cry. I'm here now." Eliza soothes, gently wiping away her wife's tears. "I missed you so much." Arizona says. "I missed you too. I love you." Eliza says as she pulls Arizona in for a kiss. The kiss is full of passion and love. They break apart for air and hold each other close. "I love you too." Arizona whispers. "Karev, did you get all that?" Eliza chuckles, pulling away and turning Arizona towards a bush. "Yep!" Alex Karev laughs as he steps out of the bush holding a camera. "Eliza!" Arizona laughs.
