Arizona's pov
I'm closing up the five year old boy whose kidney I just repaired when Owen bursts into the OR. "DeLuca finish closing up. Robbins, come with me." Owen orders. I shrug and hand DeLuca the staple gun before following Owen out of the OR. I can see a look of worry on his face. "Owen what's going on?" I ask worriedly. "Eliza was in a bad car accident. We don't know if she is going to wake up. Her organs are all fine except for her appendix which is ruptured. We will remove it in surgery. Her arm is shattered just above her wrist and we have to go in to place a pin. It's her brain we are worried about. She has a massive brain bleed and is in a coma. We had to take her into the OR right away. I have to go operate on another trauma. I paged Karev to come sit with you. I'm so sorry Arizona. She's a fighter though. She'll pull through. Owen says, squeezing my hand and smiling sadly at me before leaving. I break down then. Tears stream in oceans down my checks. "Hey shh... I've got you. She's going to be ok." Alex's voice soothes as his arms pick me up. I sob into his chest as he carries me into an empty on-call room and locks the door behind us. He sets me down on the bed and sits down next to me, holding me tightly in his arms. "It's going to be ok Arizona. Try to sleep. Eliza's going to need you there when she wakes up and you need to be well rested for when she wakes up." Alex soothes. I slip into a troubled uneasy sleep, knowing I may never see my girlfriend alive and well again.
5 days later....

Arizona's pov
It's been five long, long days. Eliza is still fast asleep. I haven't left her side except to eat, use the bathroom, and shower. I wish she would open those mysterious blue grey eyes of hers. I've long given up sitting in a chair by her bedside, needing, craving a physical connection to keep me sane through these long days of waiting. I'm laying on the bed with her, curled up by her side. Waiting, hoping, praying even, for her to wake up.
Eliza's pov
I stir and open my eyes, fighting the grogginess only to see Arizona cuddled up to me, her eyes closed. She's not asleep, I can tell from her breathing. "Mm.Mm." I croak out. "Eliza?" She asks, stunned as she lifts her head up and opens her eyes, gazing into mine. "Marry me?" I ask, my voice groggy with sleep. Arizona laughs and beams at me. "Yes Eliza yes. I'll marry you." She exclaims happily before connecting our lips in a much needed kiss. I smile against her lips and she breaks the kiss, cuddling into my side once more. She said yes... I'm awake and well and she said yes... YES!
