I'm sure no one was surprised that this ended up being the canon couple.
I have absolutely no problems with this. The ending was absolutely gorgeous, and so fitting with Haruhi's character.

I'm so glad he end up leaving with her to America.
The ending scene with the whole gang leaving for America was amazing! I couldn't ask for a better ending.
I'm glad Tamaki came to his senses and realized how he felt about her.
So handsome, and yet so dense 😂
