"Lydia - Kido can you hear me?"

My whole body is filled with a weak but unsettling pain, I let my eyes adjusted to the faint light that came from the car beside me.

Filching when someone held my hands tightening in their own, I tried to pull away.

"Woah - It's only me" placing his hands on my shoulders he look directly at me "Lydia It's me, Uncle Damon",

Damon was looking for a reaction from me but I couldn't bring myself to speak. The sudden feeling of loss overwhelmed me to the point where I could bear no more and I froze from the memories that still flooded my mind.

"Listen, Lydia can you hear me - I'm here now, we're going home"

Damon proceeded to pick me up off of the tarmac road and carried me to the car.

"It's gonna okay"
"Where am I"
"You tell me, I found you out here lying in the road"

"I don't remeb-" I squinted at the sharp pain in my stomach, clutching it with my hands.

"Ahh kido it's gonna be alright" my uncles attempts of comforting me weren't working

"I know that's a lie"

"No, Lydia don't do that" Damon carefully placed me down in the back of his car, lying me a-crossed the seats.
"Don't make things worse for yourself by over thinking things"

He clicked the door shut and got in the car. As I started to pull myself to getting he started to drive.

" I'm not over thinking things," becoming defences and definitely offended.

Damon wasn't expecting my harsh response

"Hey, remember I'm the good guy, I haven't done anything wrong" Besides his innocents, the slight tilt of his head suggested he'd be up to no good.

"No you don't understand," The change in my tone was obvious causing my uncle to be concerned, I can't deal with the confusing right now.

He places a hand on my shoulder and squeezed gently " what do you mean?"

"The memories, these things there coming back," I look at my uncle waiting for a response. " they won't stop replaying in my head"

A sudden flash of fear washed over my uncle's face "No, you didn't"

"Didn't what? Uncle Damon what! tell me"

He reached for my wrist, pulling up my sleeve reviling my ravine bracelet then he sighed in relief

"seriously you honestly you thought I had changed!"

I instantly felt guilty for my reaction, and Damon noticed. I turned my head and watched out the window staring at the stars above.

"Hey, it's not your fault" I only sighed in response what was I meant to stay.

"Why don't you tell me what you remember" I looked down at my hand's and in my mind replayed the new memories that haunted me.

I took a breath and turned to look out over the road ahead

" Do you remember the year mum died and you took me out for Christmas"?

Damon instantly sighed but also smiled at the memories came to him "Yes I do, what about it ?"

"The argument on boxing day, what was it about again?"

"It was about you spending time with me and not your dad, where are you taking this?"

" I just need to figure out what happened that day, it's a blur to me and I need to know what's real"
