The Life I Never Knew

Chapter 2

Jake's POV

In case you haven't noticed, I am a werewolf. And so is my daughter and ex-mate. It's amazing how I am still alive after my mate broke the bond right? Well, being the king has its privileges. It did hurt when she broke the bond, but I stayed strong. I stayed strong for my daughter. My Leela. She still isn't aware of herself being a wolf. Or the fact that she is a Princess. My ex wasn't told that she would be Queen. Mainly because I didn't tell her. I wanted to know if she was worthy of the crown and well she wasn't.

When Leela was born, I took her in. Not only is she the next heir, but also because I wouldn't let my ex take her. Plus she didn't even want her 

Anyway let's talk about Leela. You are probably wondering why she still doesn't know about the whole werewolf thing right? Well she does have a wolf, just doesn't know it yet. Her wolf actually talks to me. I have told her not to talk to Leela just yet. So when Leela had her first shift, it was the same time she was eh, well, starting her time of the month thing. She was having painful cramps at the same time so it kinda helped. When she turned into her wolf, Aleena to make sure she doesn't remember anything. I want my daughter to have a great life without any issues being the Princess.

Right now I am driving to the pack house. My castle is in London, England. But I am in California for protection of my daughter as well as myself.

I arrive at the gates of the pack house and was greeted by a guard. All it took was one look and instantly he knew who I was. He bowed his head in respect and let me in.

He must of linked the other pack members because there were many guards at the front door. I pulled up to the front and the guard opened the door for me bowing his head.

"Welcome back Your Highness!"

I nodded my head to them as a thank you and continued my way through the front door. Everyone was there from oldest to youngest bowing their heads welcoming me back. They do this every time I come here. Its fine and all but I'm just worried what Leela would think of all this.

I headed straight for my office and opened the door. My beta Logan, was already there working on paperwork. His desk is actually right next to mine. Most of the lack members are from the kingdomand the rest are around here. Logan saw me and smiled then bowed his head.

"Welcome back My King!"

Logan is actually my actual beta's son. But he past away during an attack so Logan took over. And also I know he won't admit it, but I know for a fact that Logan is my daughter's mate.

"Hello Logan. How are you?" I asked him as I go and sit at my desk.

"I am good Sir. How about yourself? And uh........ how is Leela?" I am sure he is scared to death of me.

I chuckle out loud which turned inti laughter  I saw his face turn bright red. I am glad he is my daughters mate and not some stranger. After I had cooled down, I said, "Well I am good first of all and Leela, she is doing great."

"That's good Sir." he said with a smile. Be still had a pink face.

"You know Logan, I know for a fact you are my daughters mate." I said smirking. He looked completely shocked.

"H-How do you know that Sir?" he asked nervously. I am pretty sure I know exactly what he is thinking.

"Logan, One, its obvious and Two, you left your mind-link open. The first time you found out about Leela being your mate. And Three, you always blush at just the mention of her name." I said to him signaling my fingers for 1,2, and 3.

Logan looked like he just saw a ghost or something. I am pretty sure he is just waiting for me to tell him to stay away from my baby girl. Nope. Sole mates should never be separated unless they wish to be.

"Don't worry so much Logan." he looks at me with wide eyes. "I think you will be perfect for my baby girl. The reason I have you here doing most of my work is because I'm preparing you. As future King you must be ready. And I already consider you as my son." He looks like he is ready to cry or explode into laughter or something. He blinks a couple times and seems to snap out of his thoughts.

"Thank you Sir. Thank you so much! This means a lot to me."

"Your welcome Logan. I know you will make her very happy." I said smirking at him. He turned red and then went back to his work.

Logan's POV

What a relief!

I was afraid Jake was going to have my head or something. Thank Goddess he's okay with me being Leela's mate.

Leela!

She is so beautiful and sweet. And she's mine! Even though she doesn't know it yet.

I've only seen her a couple of times from a far that's it. I really want to meet her. The way she speaks is intoxicating. And the way she moves and smiles and-

"LOGAN CAMELOT!"

I literally fell off my seat and on to the floor when Jack yelled. I hesitantly looked at him and let me tell you, he was not happy.

"Uh yes Sir?" Wow. I am doomed. That sounded awful.

He was staring at me as if he was looking at my soul. If looks could kill, I'd be dead right now. I gulped, rather loudly without knowing and stayed still.

"Get off the floor boy! I've been trying to get your attention for 10 minutes!" he said annoyingly. I quickly got up and sat back on my chair.

"I-I'm sorry Sir. What were you saying?" I said trying to make sure I don't die.

He cleared his throat, "Yes well, I was saying that we should enroll you in school. I want you to go to the same school as Leela and get to know her. It's time for you to meet you mate. I know your wolf can't stay away forever."

I swear I am dreaming right now. I looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you serious Sir? I get to meet my mate? Leela? And go to school with her?"

He smiled, "Yes Logan. I believe it is time."

Finally! I get to be with Leela! My gorgeous mate! I never thought this day would come so soon! I'm very glad it did!

But wait!?

What about the werewolf thing? She doesn't even know about us yet. Or herself. Shit! This is going to be hard.

I frown at the thought of our mate rejecting us. I would hate to keep secrets from her.
