Chapter 13

My mother?

I was shocked! Not for the fact that she is somewhere here, but for the fact that she is the reason I almost died!

Thank goddess that because of my abilities, I was able to take the wolfsbane out of my system. That made everyone happy and Logan was impressed but that still didn't stop him from being over-protective on me. The boys were crazy about it and my dad, well, he was happy and worried at the same time.

My 'mother', I don't think I should even call her that, wants me dead. For what though? And why me?

"I can think of many reasons Leela." a voice said startling me.

"You seriously need to stop doing that." I said glaring at Angel.

"I can assure you that I have no idea what you are talking about My Princess." She says with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at her and smiled while everyone else chuckled at us. But suddenly, I felt anger and it wasn't coming from me.

I turn to look at Logan and he wasn't looking at me. Nope. He was glaring at the ground. I put my hand on his cheek and that helped him relax a little.

"Relax, Logan. Everything will be fine." I said to him softly. He took a deep breath and relaxed more.

"She's right. Everything will be fine. As long as no one does anything stupid or reckless." She said pointing her eyes at Caleb and Daniel. I giggled and she winked back.

"Well I got nothin'" Daniel said throwing his hands up.

"I'm not surprised." Chase said in a bored tone. These two were playing chess. And they were both terrible.

"Guys get serious!" Logan yelled. I can that Melissa is stressing him out. He badly just wants to go and kill her. So he is distracting himself by being the 'referee' of the game until further notice.

"Logan calm down. The trackers should be able to find their location soon." Of course, knowing my dad you can't hide anything from him. He can see right through you.

"I know, I know. It's just......I'm worried about my mate!" I decided to go and sit on his lap. The touch took some stress off him again. Well might as well just sit here until we get any news.

"Ugh! This is so frustrating!" Daniel yelled again.

David was going threw some books, Caleb was sleeping (no surprise there), Aiden was eating a sandwich and texting his mate, and Chance was siting with Sorrina asking her questions about being an angel and all that. After awhile, Sorrina whispered something in Chance's ear then stood up and came over to Chase and Daniel. By this time, Logan has fallen asleep with his head on my lap. Sorrina crouched down next to Daniel and looked at the board. She then smiled and moved his 'Queen' to D5.

"Checkmate." She said then walked away.

"Wait! What? I won!" Daniel yelled so loud that it woke up Logan with a start.

"What happened!? Did we find her!?"

"Shhh, babe. It was only Daniel yelling that he won." I said bring him back down to my lap and putting him back to sleep.

"Oh, that's nice." And just like that, he was fast asleep again.

"Lucky move." Chase said. I guess neither of them realized that Angel moved the piece. I looked back at Angel and she rolled her eyes at the two then went back to talking with Chance again. Him and his brother are so interested in her being an Angel that they are always with her.
