The Life I Never Knew

Chapter 16

"Hello Mother." She says angrily as she holds onto the cell bars.

"I see you came uninvited into my castle. Why are you here Tiffany? You should be over there in the Royal Thunder Moon Pack! Do you have any idea what shit you are putting me into? I could get caught and beheaded because of your stupidity!" The Queen rants at her daughter.

"My stupidity?! What about your stupidity?!"

"What the hell are you talking about?" The queen asked confused while crossing her arms.

"I am talking about the fact that you are not even the real Queen! Your not even the Rogue King's mate! Your a fake! You put him under a spell to think that way. And all you are after is Leela, Because she didn't want you as a baby! Wow! You deserve a fucking reward. She was a baby! And you are an attention whore!" She yelled at the Queen.

"You listen to me. I AM THE QUEEN! I AM HIS MATE! And that brat doesn't deserve to live after what she did! She made my mate reject me! She is the attention whore! Not me! She took him away from me!" The Queen lashed out.

"She didn't do anything! You did! You wanted all the attention from your mate. You even hired maid to take care of Leela. But the King said no, he didn't want his daughter to grow up without her family but you didn't care! You just wanted him!"

"How do you know all of this?" She asked out.

"Oh I know a lot. Like the fact that your not even my mother! You made me think that way so that I could do your biding. I found out that my parents are dead from a rogue invasion. You put one of your freaky spells on me! You Witch!" Tiffany lashed out. The queen stared at her with wide eyes. She has never told a single sole about who she is and what she has done. So how did this young rogue know about her life?

"How do you know about this? No one knows about my life. How do you know every thing? Who told you? Who else knows?!" The queen demanded.

Tiffany smirked, "Oh, I'm not the only one who knows about you. A lot of people know. Including the Kings, those guards, and lets not forget your real daughter, Leela."

Marissa was shocked and livid. All her life she had made sure no one know her secrets. No living soul should know about her. But some how, everyone knew. "How do you know about this? Actually, I don't care. No one even likes you! Your useless! No wonder you became rogue. Now you'll die a rogue."

This woman is crazy! She thought. There was obviously something wrong with Marissa. She was never like this. She was calm and kind not obsessed and crazy.

Marissa left the dungeon smirking, leaving Tiffany to her thoughts. She knew she had to escape and quickly to warn the King of Marissa's plans.

They may not believe me though. She said to herself. Even so she had to try. Tiffany looked around her cell. It was dark with just a hint of light from the tiny window about 6 feet high on the back, brick wall. While the other 3 walls were nothing but rusty old bars so close together that only a hand can go through.

Tiffany saw that the window was her only escape. With her slender, small frame, she would be able to fit through. Now how to get up there. She thought. She looked the brick wall, studying it. She saw that some of the bricks were broken as if someone was trying to dig a hole through it.

Hmm..1, 2, 3-7! 7 holes!

Indeed someone was in here before and was able to escape! That was her only chance. She looked around for any guards to find none. She quickly started to climb and looked out the window to see it still daylight. She observed all around to see where the guards were posted and how far the forest was. Which was right passed the guards.

Footsteps were heard and she quickly jumped down landing perfectly on her feet. She sat on the floor with her back against the bars as the guards came by to drop off food. It was then she smelt the most amazing scent. Fresh grass and pine cones.

Mate!

Her mate was near! And she was in a cell! She hopped that he wouldn't reject her due to being in a cell. Her wolf whimpered at the thought. Growls were being heard and footsteps were coming closer to her cell. Her heart beating with excitement and nerves.

When the footsteps halted, she looked up and saw the most amazing man she had ever seen. He was about age least 6'1 towering over her 5'6. He was strong as any royal guard would be. Dark hair, hazel eyes, and tan skin that looks flawless and smooth. She couldn't stop staring at him.

She stood up and walked towards the front of her cell, closer to him. He closed his eyes and inhaled her scent. When he opened them, he put his hand threw the bars and gently touched her cheek. Slowly he moved down to her neck and back up to her chin. To her lips, in return made her shudder.

"What is your name mate?" He says in a deep yet gentle voice.

"I'm Tiffany," she whispers only for him to hear. "What's yours?"

"Tiffany," the way he said her name was like silk, "I'm Zac my dear."

"Zac, short for Zachary?" She giggled. He only smiled and nodded his head.  He started to lose his smile and looked very furious.

"Why are you in a cell?" He said coldly which made Tiffany shudder with fear and step back a little. Zac notices and softens up. "My apologies, mate. Please don't be frightened." He said worriedly not wanting Tiffany to be scared of him.

She took a deep breath and spoke of everything. From how the King told Leela of the werewolf life to founding out about her 'mother' turning crazy. She even told him about her love for the Beta Logan. She made sure no secrets were kept from him.

To say that Zac was mad was and understatement, he was down right furious. Why would the Queen act as such to her own daughter then trick another to be hers to do her bitting? And then throws her in a dungeon for getting kicked out of the pack? And with all this information, tells you that the Queen isn't in fact a 'Queen' at all! Tricking others to be mates for power? Unbelievable!

"I will get you out my dear and we will go to the Kings and get this all sorted out!" He said with much determination.

With his help, they were able to escape and began their journey to the Kings.
