Dean's POV
"Dude, a cop's gonna come after us if you don't stop speeding," Sam warned me.
I didn't say anything. I just kept at my speed. Why couldn't Sam see in how much trouble Emily's in? An angel freaking kidnapped her. In our own motel room! And she's been with him the past hour! And we had no idea what he's doing to her now. We needed to hurry.
Five excruciating minutes later, we arrived. I checked the GPS and made sure it was the correct location. Fortunately, it was.
"Cas?" I asked, turning around and seeing him in the backseat. "You know the plan?"
"Yes."
"Great." I got out of the door and shut the door. Being the impala, it was very loud. He definitely knew we're here now.
We went to the front of the building. Sam and I looked at Cas, who was already reaching out for us. The moment I felt his hands on my forehead, we were in a different setting.
We were inside the building. Standing in front of the kidnapper.
"Where's Emily?"
The guy stepped away, revealing her. She was tied up to a chair with no duct tape over her mouth. Weird.
"Alright. give me the girl and I'll give you the angel," I said.
The kidnapper chuckled, turning around to face us. "Do you really think I'm that stupid?"
"Raziel," Castiel said.
"Ah, Castiel. How are ya ol' buddy?"
"We are not friends."
Raziel said nothing but nodded, as if not accepting it but moving on. "Give me the angel and you'll get the girl."
Emily's POV
Dean narrowed his eyes, but his brother nudged him forward. Dean looked at Castiel, who was looking back at him with puzzlement. Dean nodded, and they both went forward.
Once they were within two feet of Raziel, he held his hand out. "Stop," he ordered. "Let me check him for weapons."
He checked and found nothing. So, he grabbed the angel. "Now," Dean said. I could tell he just wanted to get this over with. "Time for your side of the bargain."
"Actually," Raziel corrected him. "You get the pleasures of leaving while she stays."
Dean's eyes widened. "You said you'd give her back."
The angel smiled. "I lied."
"Son of a--"
"Out," Raziel ordered. Dean stayed. The angel snapped. Then there were three more angels around him. "Guards! Get them."
Then they fought. There was one blinding light, then two. But one angel remained. And he was a very good fighter.
I watched as he knifed Dean in the arm, then knocked Sam out of his way. "No! Stop it!" I yelled.
Raziel stepped directly in front of me, blocking the scene. "There's nothing you can do, child."
"Let them go!"
"They won't go."
"I'll make them."
He stopped. "Puriel."
The angel stopped and turned around to face us. "You are no longer needed." He disappeared.
The brothers looked at us. Sam glared at Raziel, but Dean looked at me. I shook my head, tears coming to my eyes. He looked at me, not understanding. "Go," I mouthed.
His eyes widened, shaking his head. "Go," I whispered.
The guys stayed put. "You better listen to the girl, Winchesters."
"Just go," I urged them. But my words didn't seem to urgent with the tears springing to my eyes. "Please."
Dean shook his head yet again. "No."
Raziel stood up, getting ready to give Dean a mouthful, when his eyes went wide with pain and shock. Then his eyes and mouth let out blinding white light. Once he dropped to the ground limply, Castiel was revealed with an angel blade covered in blood.
Dean, not hesitating one bit, rushed towards me and undid the ropes. "I wouldn't leave you."
"You needed to," I whispered. Once he got the roped untied and out from around me, I tried to stand up, but I went limp. I guess my shaky legs couldn't handle it. Dean caught me, but not setting me down. Instead, he picked me up and started carrying me to the car. Maybe he was like a big brother. Maybe he really did like me.
He set me in the car laying down, while he and Sam sat in the front. Castiel, being an angel, just teleported himself to wherever he needed to be. After about five minutes of silence, I asked, "Why did he want me? He was in the bathroom, waiting for me when I got there."
"I don't know," Dean admitted. It seemed hard for him to even think it. "But we'll find out. And he won't get you again."
Let's just hope he keeps that promise.
