/Castiel's POV/

It was obvious that Sam was confused about Emily's new ability. And though I kept a straight face, I was, too. She's a new angel and she managed to block and read thoughts and heal. She was progressing way faster than what I had seen before.

But that could be mentioned into a conversation at another time. Emily had seemed a little tense and anxious before the wolf came. She seemed to look and perk up at nothing. This may be her first real case and she may be feeling bad for sneaking and following, so that was understandable. But she never relaxed when she saw it was nothing. She continued to stare at something. Did she really see something?

After we had healed Sam and gotten the wolf down, Sam was giving Dean a look. It seemed to me like an 'I told you so' look, which Sam gave often. Dean rolled his eyes in reply. I knew that they were just messing with each other. I knew that they really loved each other as brothers and would do anything for each other.

I focused back on the wolf and Emily. They needed to get out of here with this being, whatever it was. For now, I had cloaked us again until we could figure out how to get this wolf out of here.

That wasn't exactly the hard part. We didn't know where to go. /Follow my lead./ I ordered Emily, knowing she was reading my thoughts for an answer.

I teleported us to another section of the woods. The wolf didn't seem fazed, just frozen, staring at Emily. Emily was staring back, and I had a strange feeling that they had done this before. I inspected Emily. She was staring at the wolf the same way she had unblinkingly gazed at nothingness earlier. Had she seen the wolf when nobody else could?

They seemed to be unable to look away from each other. Then something unexpected happened. Emily's eyes starting glowing the same blue as the wolf's, and rings around her eyes started to form, and they were tinged red.

I stepped in between the wolf and the new angel, and the wolf snapped out of its trance, glaring at me and baring its sharp fangs. I could feel Emily snap out of it behind me. She put a hand to my back, using me so she could stand correctly. I saw what the wolf had done to her physically, but what did it do to her mentally?

I was getting ready to check her thoughts and see if she was okay, but the wolf had taken a step forward. It was now a few feet away from me. Its blue eyes glowed more than before, and I made sure Emily stayed behind me. I made sure not to stare the wolf directly in the eyes, so I wouldn't get under that gaze.

I could feel Emily's gaze on the back on my head. /Do you have a question, Emily?/ I asked her, knowing she did. She wanted to be addressed before she spoke.

/A lot, actually./ She muttered. /But what did this wolf do to me?/

/I do not know./ I answered, and I realized that was true. I /didn't/ know what had happened. I also didn't know what to do with this wolf. We needed to get back to the Winchester brothers soon.

/That helps. But...don't...good...something...side.../ Was all I heard from her. Was she okay? Of course not. Was she out of breath or did she not have enough power to talk to me with her mind?
Either way it wasn't good. I had to set this wolf somewhere where it couldn't get out. Then I needed to help Emily and get back to Dean and Sam.

/I cannot hear you completely. Hold on./ But she couldn't. In the middle of the sentence, Emily had fallen limp against my back. I watched the wolf in my peripheral vision, but I turned and held the limp angel. Did the wolf still have a hold on her? Or was this just an after-effect of the spell gaze?

/Emily's POV/

Pain. Darkness. ...Ice cream? This wasn't what I had expected after passing out due to the gaze of a crazed wolf with crystal-blue eyes.
