Liam's house was huge. Even from the outside you could tell that his house was ginormous.
"You live HERE?" I asked, dumbfounded.
"Yep." He said smiling, obviously glad that I was impressed.
"Let's just hope I don't get lost in it. I'm sorta directionally challenged. I got lost on the way to LA at least 7 times." I admitted. I could see him holding back laughter, like he was trying not to offend me. "You can laugh, I usually do too." He laughed until tears came out his eyes, until he got out the words
"I'm sorry. I've just never heard the term directionally challenged before. But it fits you quite well." He said, still chuckling.
"Shut up." I said, playfully punching his arm. Damn, he's got some pretty good arms. It was like punching a rock. I opened the car door and stepped out into his garage. It was huge, too. Cars parked in neat rows took up most of the garage space. "I thought you rented cars?"
"I do, but I have some of my own." He explained.
"Some? You have at least 10?" I couldn't believe he had 10 cars. And he rented more?
"Only 8. I promise."
"Only." I mocked. He led me to a door that opened into his house. Holy crap.
It was spotless, thanks to a maid service, I bet. A Persian rug was rolled out in the foyer. All of the woodwork was mahogany. I slipped off my shoes at the door, and stepped further inside. I couldn't help my jaw from dropping.
He put a hand on the small of my back and guided me forward.
"Do you want anything to drink?" He was trying to be a good host, and he was doing a very good job at it.
"No, thanks." I was still staring in wonder. His kitchen was stainless steel and black granite. It was an open floor plan, and the living room was furnished with suede couches, and I went to go sit on one. On the flat screen tv was one of my favorite shows, Cake Boss.
"I love this show!" I said, sitting on the couch. It was really comfortable. Liam was still in the kitchen. I looked back at Liam, and saw him staring intently at me. "What? Aren't you gonna come watch it with me?"
He chuckled and sat down on the couch next to me. He slid his arm around my shoulders and I laid my head on his shoulder. He smelled like cologne. We sat in a comfortable silence before he spoke.
"Considering you're my girlfriend, I don't know that much about you."
"I'm from Iowa, and I moved here a couple weeks ago. I left home on my 18th birthday which was July 20th. I've wanted to be an actress since I was 13 and I've wanted to be a singer since I was six. My favorite food is almonds and strawberries, and my favorite drink is green tea. My favorite song is Mona Lisa by Brad Paisley, and my favorite movie is The Heat. I love traveling at night, and I'm a night owl. I'm very close to my family, but I'm an only child. How about you?" I forgot to mention that I have a talent for rambling, but I guess he probably figured that part out by now.
"I'm from Australia, my birthday is January 13, I've wanted to be an actor or surfer for as long as I can remember. I love seafood, and I hate to admit it but my favorite drink is beer. I don't really have a favorite song, or movie. I have 2 brothers, Luke and Chris. Do you play any sports?" I liked it when he opened up. He usually comes off as a very reserved person. Him telling me all this stuff made me feel special.
"I play volleyball and tennis. I'm also in dance/cheer and swimming." I explained. He nodded and smiled. He lifted my chin with one finger (I've noticed he does that a lot) and kissed me. Everything in that moment was perfect. Until I heard the camera go off.
