Chapter 7

" We are happy to inform you that you have been cast as Glimmer, one of the Careers. Do you accept this role?" The person asked with a lack of enthusiasm.

"I gladly accept!" I practically screeched, trying to contain my excitement. Oh my God. I am in the Hunger Games.

" Great, would you mind meeting us at the same place you did for the audition to fill out some paperwork?" They asked again.

"I'll be there in 20 minutes." I said, bursting with happiness. I am going to be famous.

"Great, thanks. See you then"

"Thank you, goodbye" I said, clicking the end call button. I touched up my make up, and grabbed my bag. I smiled the whole time I drove to the building. Life couldn't get any better than this. Or could it? Who knows, maybe I'll meet the love of my life in this movie. Yeah, right, I thought.

I was told to go to the 12 floor to attend the meeting for the other people in the Career group. The actor playing Cato was sitting next to one of the producers. He was tall, even sitting down and had light hair and dark, sea green eyes. The girl portraying Clove was short, shorter than me, and had straight, dark hair. The boy introduced himself as Alexander, and the girl said her name was Isabelle, but she told me to call her Izzy. I told them my name was Danielle, and how excited I was to be working with them. We all talked for a little while before the producer told us all we needed to get some things done. There was some paperwork to sign, and then it was time to talk money.

"How's 3 sound?" He asked.

"Dollars?" I said, confused.

"No honey, million" he said, chuckling.

"That sounds...fine." I said, trying to stay calm. 3 millionbucks. Holy crap. And I get my name out there. People will want to hire me if they know I 've been in the Hunger Games. Life could not be better right now.

"And you will get more after the movie releases, and is available on DVD" he said, grinning ear to ear.

"Alright, that sounds great!" I said, still not sure if this was reality. 3,000,000+ dollars? For my first real movie role?

"We start filming in 2 weeks, so finish learning your script. And we have a glam squad for all of our major parts." He said, snapping me out of my daydream. I could buy a bigger apartment, more clothes, anything I wanted.

"Yes, of course. You can e-mail me the details, right?" I asked.

"It's settled then. I look forward to working with you Ms. Danielle" And with that, we shook hands. It was a deal.
