Chapter 3: Shot Right Through Me
*Chris Kodak's POV:*
Crissy gathered me, Vanessa, Jarvis, and Jesse in the living room for a emergency family meeting. She looked pale and depressed. She wasn't her usual bubbly self.
"Thank you guys for coming. Um.... I've kinda been going through a lot in such short time. I can't believe it myself.", she whispered, pacing the living room.
"What's wrong baby?", Vanessa asked concerned.
Crissy turned toward us and started crying hard. Then she started mumbling and hissing things that didn't make any sense.
"I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I should have waited! Now my life is ruined. I'm so sorry. So sorry. I'm done. I'm sorry!!", she burst out, crying harder and louder by the second.
"Crissy, what's wrong?!", Jarvis asked, walking up and sitting down next to the lump of Crissy crying on the floor.
"I'm so sorry.", she whispered, looking into Jarvis' eyes.
"What?!", Jesse whispered, concerned.
"I'm confused. What's going on?", I asked.
"I'm pregnant.", Crissy whispered, looking at me with red, sore eyes.
Jesse looked shocked and his face went pale. He just got up and walked out.
I looked into her sorrow filled eyes, anger boiling up in me. But I knew it wasn't just her fault. She probably didn't mean to do it. I can understand. She looked almost to the point of dying. She was just as upset about this as I was. She looked torn.
Crissy's head was hung low as she clenched on to Jarvis' shirt.
I jumped up and stalked up to Jarvis, gripping his shirt and slamming him up against the wall with force.
"CHRIS NO!!!!!!", Vanessa screamed, jumping up to try to get me to let go.
Jarvis was a good half inch shorter then me and more lean and skinny. I'm 6'3" and buff. Vanessa was 5'6" and pregnant. And when I'm mad, she can't do anything to get me to calm down that easily.
"I'm so sorry.", Crissy whispered.
Everyone's voice started to slowly fade out of my hearing as adrenaline coursed through me. I got so mad, I picked up my fist and punched.
"NOOOO!!!!!!", Vanessa yelled.
I punched a huge hole in the wall right next to Jarvis' head. He slipped from my grip and ran out the house. Vanessa grabbed my arms stopping me from running after him.
"Chris please don't scare me like that again. You can't touch that little boy like that.", Vanessa said, closing the front door and helping Crissy stand up.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING CRISSY?!!! YOU CANT BE OUT THERE GETTIN PREGNANT!!!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW THIS COULD RUIN YOUR FUTURE?!!!!", I yelled at Crissy.
Crissy flinched and hugged Vanessa. I sighed and pulled her away from Vanessa and hugged her tight.
"I'm sorry daddy. I didn't mean to. I was being so stupid. And now I'm gonna have to live with it forever.", she sobbed.
"It's ok. It's not all your fault. We're here for you baby."
*Vanessa Kodak's POV:*
I was pushing my cart through the bread isle at Walmart when some boy walked onto the isle, grabbed the cheap dollar bread and started walking off. He looked vaguely familiar.
"Excuse me. Do I know you?", I asked, pushing my cart next to him.
He looked over at me causing me to gasp. I did know this boy. But he looked sick. Bags under his eyes making him look ten years older. His pale skin and dry lips. And he's starting to look on the skinny, homeless side.
