Chapter 17

Rose's P.O.V.

"Wake up baby" i heard someone but I didn't know who. Then I remembered, it's Niall. I tried to mumble go away but the voice wouldn't come.

"Baby come on wake up."

Then I finally found my voice.

"Niall what time is it?"

A light chuckled left his mouth. "It's 11 in the morning."

"Nooo Niall go back to bed."

I was whining like a little kid but I don't care.

Then I felt something poke my arm, or someone.

I tried to push it away with my hand but nothing worked, I hastily opened one eye and saw a smirking Niall poking me.

After about what felt like one hundred more pokes, I got up. Niall kissed me on the cheek good morning and I headed up stairs to take a shower. Flashes of Brent and I were flashing in my mind. I started to frown and wishing he would be with me right now.

I got out of the shower and threw on some skinny jeans and a floral top along with my gray toms. I out a little mascara on and some eyeliner, the usual.

I made my way outside with Niall, hand in hand.

"Hey so I was wondering, wanna go to the park?"

It was beautiful outside, the sun shinning, barely a cloud in the sky. It was peaceful. I nodded my head and we headed to the park.

Niall and I were talking about random stuff but my mind drifted off to Brent. Him and I loved going to the park and playing tag. Then we'd always get ice cream after. He always spoiled me and I loved it. I never took it for granted.

Then it hit me again... He's gone. My heart ached to see him just one more time. I didn't even know I was crying until I felt the dampness hit my cheeks and Niall lifted my head up.

"Hey you alright rose?"

"Y-yeah.." I didn't want him to worry about me.

"Baby, I know you're not, c'mon tell me please "

"Well.. Today's Brent's 25th birthday and I just miss him."

He nodded in sympathy and hugged me tightly while stroking my hair and saying everything is going to be alright.

We ended up still walking to a little den thing at the park, it was daily small but we could still fit. We climbed in just to get some privacy. I remember this from my childhood, Brent and I would always pretend we were wolfs, weird right?

I smiled at the memory and then looked at Niall.

"Hey wanna dig a hole?" He can't be serious right??

I let out a little chuckle and he started digging. Suddenly, he found a little box. He took it out of the ground and my heart dropped. It said Rose ontop of it.

"Um, should we open it?"

Niall looked at me then handed it to me.

I decided to open it and found an envelope. I started reading it.

My dearest RoseyPosey,

that's all I needed before I knew this was meant for me by the one and only person who ever called me that.... Brent.

My dearest RoseyPosey,

If you found this, I just wanna say I love you so much! You were truly the best sister a brother could ever ask for. This.. This isn't easy for me to say but this is where I died... I wrote this before I died... Mom probably didn't say how I died but I slit my throat. I'm so sorry to leave you, I really am. I haven't left though, I'm with you spiritually and I always will be. Whenever you think of me, don't be sad, be happy please, for me <3 don't forget anything I ever told you, it's all true! I love you RoseyPosey and I will always be watching. I wrote other letters in the box, for everything, happy, sad, boy troubles, everything. Just read them and I hope they'll make you feel better :)

I looked in the box and found envelopes everywhere, did he actually do this for me?? He truly was the best brother I could ever ask for. At that moment, a bright rainbow appeared and I knew it was him... Tears started coming out but not sad ones.. Tears of joy, I knew he was with me right then and there.

Niall's P.O.V.

I don't know what to say.. It's heartbreaking to see the person you love crying. I wanted to just scoop her in my arms and kiss her telling her she's perfect. I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She took the opportunity to rest her head on my chest. I kissed her temple and we stood there slowly rocking back and forth.

I could stay like this forever and I knew she felt the same. I just want to take her past away from her, all of the hate, the pain, the hurt, she doesn't deserve any of that.

"Hey babe, wanna go get some ice cream now?"

"Sure nialler"

We made our way to the ice cream shop, she of course had her box in her hands.

I ordered for her and I. Double chocolate fudge sundae, extra large. I truly do love her, she isn't afraid to pig out with me.

When we sat down with our ice cream, the door opened. She was facing the door and panicked filled her features. I turned around and saw a guy with black hair and blue eyes. He looked like a douche in all honesty.

Rose's P.O.V

Niall and I sat down to eat our ice cream and my heart stopped.. It couldn't be.

Cole..

He was here but how? I moved to start fresh but how could he be here?!

I prayed her wouldn't spot niall and I but I spoke to soon cause next he hing I knew, he was walking in our direction.....
