This Sara turned out to be friendlier and warmer. She was nice to everyone and made friends very quickly.

One day she decided she wanted to know the quite girl by the window.

She came over when I was reading and asked the question which perhaps never gets old but becomes very irritating very fast, "What are you reading?" she asked like thousands before her. "Harry Potter" I said. "Really? Why? Haven't you seen the movies?" she asked like many others. Although thoroughly annoyed I said as nicely as possible "I prefer the books, no offence."

"Oh!" she said surprised "you know I have never met someone who actually preferred the book before"

"Well you ought to find better company because books are always better" I said snarkily as I got back to my book.

She smiled and extended her hand towards me and said "Well you seem like better company. What's your name?"

Slightly taken aback I took her hand and said "My name is Dawn."

"Well Dawn is Harry Potter all you read or have you read other books? Any suggestions?" and just like that the bond of friendship was forged. Slowly and steadily I found out we liked same things, same shows, same books, same love for food. Sara and I became really good friends. But my past experiences kept nagging in the back of my mind. The voices kept saying that she was just another crutch.
