A few days had passed since their meeting at the coffee shop. Katie was dying to see Dan once more but she knew that she had no choice but to wait.

"Hey Ashton wants to hang out!" Nia exclaimed as she swung her feet around in the air.

Katie looked over at her and rose an eyebrow, "Is that that guy you've been constantly messaging from the coffee place?"

Nia nodded as she laid on her back on the couch, her arms extending in the air as she texted.

"What should I say?" She asked in a slight panicked tone.

"I dont know, do you wanna hang out with him?" Katie asked and gestured toward the door.

"But what if its awkward?" She said and sat up, dropping her hands into her lap as she sighed. "Will you come?"

"No I dont even know him!" Katie chuckled, shaking her head.

"Dan will be there," She gasped as she looked down at her phone. "Now you have to come."

Katie covered her smiling face as she laid down on the floor. "I hate you so much,"

"Thank me later," Nia said with a grin. She knew Katie was embarrassed to see Dan, but Katie didn't know that it was equally embarrassing to her too.

"We meet again coffee girl," Dan greeted Katie with a chuckle.

Katie could already feel her cheeks heating up. "Yeah," She squeaked as she desperately tried not to make eye contact with the beautiful boy in front of her.

Ashton smiled as Tania joined him, "That was such a good idea. I'm impressed."

She nodded as her warm hair glowed in the sunlight, "Yeah it was pretty good."

She looked up at him for a moment. Admiring his sandy coloured hair as it blew around lightly in the fresh april breeze. She grinned and shook her head. They were supposed to be setting up Katie and Dan - not each other. But if that's how it ended she didn't mind.

"So why is it you always come in for coffee?" Dan asked and leaned against the monkey bars.

"What kind of question is that? I just like coffee you idiot," She giggled playfully and sat down on the grass.

She still had no idea why they decided to make the park out of all places, their meeting place. There were no kids around as they were all probably in school still. Katie however did go to college, but it had finished a week prior. "I never caught your name,"

Katie looked up at him as he joined her on the grass. "I'm Katie." she murmured shyly.

"Coffee Katie, hm?" Dan said to himself and laid back on he grass, throwing his arms behind his head as he played with his hair.

"Is that my name now?" She asked as her cheeks flushed a light red tinge and laid beside him.

"It just might be. But I want a cool nickname too." he nodded, and closed his eyes, enjoying the warm sun heat his face.

"Can't I just call you Daniel?" She quizzed and shifted her gaze to him.

"Lame," He spat.

Katie sat up and leaned back on her elbows admiring him for a few moments before she spoke, "Lame indeed."

He opened his eyes only to catch her gaze. It was silent for what felt like eternity, before Dan finally shifted his position and looked up at the sky. "Tell me something about yourself,"

"Um, I really like potatoes." She sputtered, unsure of what to say. There was so much about her that she didn't want him to know, not yet anyways.

"Coffee is on the house next time you're in." He promised with a cheeky wink.
