"Katie, I'm not going to hurt you." Phil told her through the door. "I just want you to stay away from Dan."

"I don't believe you," She replied, her voice quivering slightly.

Phil groaned and fiddled with his fingers for a moment. He was hoping to just talk to her, and tell her what he was going through. Like she would somehow magically forgive him. He cursed to himself, if only he was better at talking to people.

"I thought I told you to never step foot in here again?" Dan asked, his voice a low growl.

Phil paused and turned to face him, "I just want to talk."

He looked hurt, and maybe deep down Phil was still in love with Dan. But Dan was having none of it. Because right now, he was here to protect his girlfriend.

"Dan please, listen to me," Phil pleaded as Dan neared him.

Dan held his breath as he stopped a few feet away from his ex lover, "Why are you here Phil?"

Phil bit his lip and looked back at the bathroom door, "I just came to talk."

"Talk then," Dan ordered and clenched his fists together, he didn't have time for stupid games.

"I miss you, and it feels like I just can't live without you. I need you back in my life. Even if its just as a friend," He frowned.

It was silent for a moment as Dan thought of an appropriate response.
Katie stood with her ear pressed against the bathroom door.

"I'm sorry Phil, I-its too hard to be friends with you-" Dan began only for Phil to cut him off.

"So try harder, actually make an effort to be friends with me then. Instead of just randomly cutting me from your life after 4 years."

Dan paused as Phil's eyes swelled with tears. He missed Phil, of course he did. But he couldn't be around him without thinking about their fighting, the kissing, and the life they had together.

"Dan, please. Listen to me," Phil pleaded softly and cupped his cheek with his hand gently. "I love you," he whispered.

Dan shook his head, "I don't love you anymore."

Phil nodded and pulled him into a soft kiss, working his lips against Dan's slowly in hopes he would change his mind.

He melted against Phil's touch, and for a moment he almost forgot about Katie listening to their every move from the bathroom.

Katie waited patiently. Fiddling with her fingers until it finally seemed calm enough for her to open the door.

The only logical explanation was that Phil had left, leaving Dan standing alone in shock. She unlocked the door with a soft sigh, pushing it open.

She froze as soon as she seen the two boys kissing. Something like this was expected of Phil.

But its never a friendly feeling seeing your boyfriend and his ex lover's faces pushed together.

Dan broke their kiss instantly, pushing Phil away from him. He turned, his face meeting with Katie's, "Kate I-"

"Save it, you guys obviously still have feelings for each other. Maybe that's something you want to work out before you get another girlfriend," She snapped as she tried not to let her feelings take over.

Dan shook his head and walked over to her, grabbing her hand and pulling her close.

"Katie no, I love you, you're my everything now. If I lose you then I'll have nothing," He explained, his voice raspy.

"Then have nothing," She snapped as she pulled her arm away from him.

She grabbed her purse and keys before walking out the front door, slamming it behind her.
