Alexa POV
So today my family and Riley are having a together to eat at restaurant tonight.
I was dressed up in a black short dress with tan flats I wanted to look good for dinner.
"Hi." Riley greeted as he saw me at a table in the back of the restaurant.
"Hi." I greeted back. He changed into a white button up shirt with dark faded I was thinking myself he is so hot. I found it weird that my parents and bother didn't come yet.
"Is that the necklace I gave you?" Riley asked taking a seat pointing to my necklace. I was wearing he gave me this necklace years ago.
"Yeah it is." Riley gave me this necklace years ago when I was eleven saying that it was my Christmas gift and that it reminded him. 'How much he loved his little Alexa of course' I wore the necklace as a reminder that he was far away in London but he was with me because of that necklace.
"How you doing?" He asked as he took a seat at the table.
"Fine and you?"
"I'm good" he replied.
The Waitress came "Hi what can I get you guys?"
"I'm getting a chicken salad and a ice tea" I ordered my food.
"I will a get coke and a steak" Riley ordered his food.
I blushed, Riley had girls lining up for him certainly he wouldn't waste his time on worthless girl like me I thought.
Riley was patting a seat next to him silently asking her to sit next to him I my shook head no.
He laughed at he cautions and scooted to sit next me draping his arm around my shoulders and bumping his temple with mine as he always did years ago as a manner of affection while he asked : "Alright fill me in Alexa."
I heaved a big sigh nervous Riley he always did that. He used to alway's come to my house. He clicked with my brother instantly since his dad died he grown up at his house and my house.
Hence that was his second family. He treated me like his little sister he was a loving being a brother. Whenever when Jason was rough with me I took refuge in Riley's arms every time I felt gloomy or had a problem, more then that he talked to me I loved that.
When he was in highschool he used to alway's found time to take me to the movies or often the bookstore. Which I loved more he was always so affectionate. When he left to college five years ago In London I was so sad.
When I remembered the things I did miss was volleyball and Riley. I had no friends to turn to because my friends left me in freshman year. I flinched when he rubbed my arm my heart skipped a beat I looked up at his eyes they were always so green.
I smiled in a matter of seconds I was being pulled into a big hug one that always cheered me up. I wanted to let go all of the negatively and anxiety but I couldn't.
Yet he still rubbed my back and said "Nothing changed I'm here for you."
I took a deep breath nodding against his chest. I just wrapped my arms around his torso and sank into our hug. Riley gladly started kissing my hair affectionately and started rubbing my back.
Despite everything five had passed things had changed, there was still a bit of distance between us.
In the end he cupped my cheeks asking. "Better?"
I nodded warily and my heart fluttered when he leaned in to kiss my forehead.
"What's going on here?" a deep male voice said Riley was temped to pull back but he didn't he remained there. Knowing that I was important.
