Chap. 10

Vanessa sighed he was so strict it was nothing serious they were together for the time being no commitment, he agreed, but now after six weeks, he got more possessive, he thought she was two timing him. She was only with him because, Jason broke her heart.

She wasn't scared of him. He had no idea who he was dealing with. She  was cornered beneath the, bleachers of the football field nobody could see the or hear them.

She calmed herself down and told him. "Me and Mr. Ferris was talking about Alexa's problems that's all. "

Chad looked angry. She knew that her boyfriend wasn't a safe person to be around he had rage outbursts, he been in jail for theft and assault she knew he was dangerous.

The reason he was mad because he thought she was flirting with the English teacher. She kept telling him she wasn't interested in him and that was true but Chad didn't believe her he was jealous and possessive.

She glared at him "I answered you. Now get the hell out of my way." God she was getting tired of him.

"Do not lie to me!" He punched the wall beside her head he looked furious. Okay maybe this was the time to be scared. She was under the bleachers nobody could hear or see them if he snapped and hit her.

He gripped her wrists tightly glaring at her and threw her to the ground, her wrist was twisted but she pretended to not feel any pain.

He gripped her hair tightly hurting her as he raised her face, being mere inch from his as he yelled. "Do not fucking play with me!" He let go of her wrist, having she fell on her back. "Try this again and I will show you what respect means." Chad eyes were in slits giving her a deadly glare.

She started breathing again when he left Alexa was right. She needed to break up with him. But how would she do it without him hurting her?

Alexa hurried packing up she felt like going home today. Jason was coming was coming today for Thanksgiving with him, his fiancee and maybe Riley.

Either way these past weeks had been stressful, Vanessa and her Mr. Ferris had been watching her more Mr. Ferris always checked her fingers before class started. She was carful to only vomit after dinner.

This year Ms. Evans family and her family are going to be at the Thanksgiving dinner.

After class she ran out eager to go home.
After class she asked normally Dean or Vanessa to give her a ride but they were to busy. So she went on the public bus to get back to her house.

When she got home she greeted Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Hastings. Her mother grinned at her, and fished her wallet out of her purse. "I need you to the store, to need more flour and a few more things."

Alexa didn't argue she liked grocery shopping. She grabbed the money from her mom put on her shoes and raced out. In a 20 minute walk she was at the closest grocery store.

It didn't take her long to get the things her mom needed, so 15 minutes she was ready to cash registers she stood in a long line. After she bought the food she left and walked back to her house.

Then Alexa stood on the porch with her mom she saw Jason's Prius in the driveway. Then he stepped off the car with Gwen and reached his mother and sister. All the time, Alexa eyes were on the car wondering why didn't Riley didn't step off.

Her doubts were cleared when her mom asked. "Were is Riley?"

Jason shrugged. "He didn't make it. His girlfriend was sick, so he stayed to take care of her." Alexa's heart broke into a thousand pieces and nobody noticed. That word girlfriend killed her soul.

The elders were having a good time if they payed attention they would have noticed that their kids weren't in a holiday mood and not enjoying themselves.

Jason sat between Gwen and Vanessa sitting next to him, damping the mood so much that they didn't utter a word. And Dean and Alexa sat across the table.

Vanessa was scared of her boyfriend him and her fought earlier. The fight made her scared for her life, her boyfriend pushed her against the tree and she bruised her shoulder and he wrapped his hands around her neck yelling at her.

She hid her neck with a scarf, to hide the marks and tried to cover her bruises with makeup.

As for Alexa the she took the blow to her heart was to harsh to take. She expected him to stay single. She couldn't believe he moved on so quickly it just had been two months.

Alexa didn't feel like eating she just felt like going to her bedroom to cry. Riley abandoned her again despite his promises.

Alexa inhaled eating another bit of turkey, while the people around her kept chatting happily.

"Riley where is he?" Vanessa asked the guy beside her. His eyes widened.

Before Jason could reply. Gwen said with a hostile voice."He got detained. Whats it to you?"

Vanessa closed her eyes for moment remembering their conflict. She didn't want to cause a scene, so she only nodded and looked at her food.

"There is no need to snap at her like that." Vanessa heard Jason whisper yell at his fiancee part of her cheered, because despite everything he still found the time to defend her.

"Are you still seeing her?"

"No I'm not."

Vanessa thanked her wrist for having her clench her teeth in pain, so she could excuse herself to use the bathroom and saved from that conversation.

She went to bathroom then took off her sweater to look at the big bruise on her shoulder were she had been knocked against tree. And her wrist hurt to much it was sprained.

She didn't want to get Jason in trouble, and Chad threaten her if she left him he would beat her worse.

She went into Alexa's room and got her purse and got out but she yelped when she bumped into a hard chest.

"Calm down its just me." Jason muttered heaved a breath and stepped back.

Jason grabbed her shoulders. "Whats wrong?"

She muttered. "You shouldn't be here."

He sighed. "I know I just need to talk to you for a moment."

She wanted to take refuge in his arms and hug him but only forced herself to say. "I got nothing to tell you."

He sighed and passed a hand over his face. She ignored him and went to Bathroom but he followed her and grabbed her arm.

She froze and closed her eyes, as she felt Jason tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"I just need a moment I need to know if your okay." Jason mumbled creasing her cheek.

"I am now let me go." Vanessa said with coldness.

He wrapped his arms around her. "I missed you Ness I didn't talk to you for months I couldn't stop thinking about you."

Her voice was broken as she said with her eyes closed. "I love you Jason but you cant keep using me I'm not made of steal." Vanessa hated feeling so weak.

He started cuddling her putting his chin on her head. "I'm sorry I really am I missed you so much. "This means I cant let you go."

He kissed her and she kissed him back. She pulled away from the kiss. "W-What about Gwen?"

He sighed with out moving. "I'm going to go talk to her."

"And say what?"

He pecked her lips. "That I'm sorry but I cant marry her."

Her eyes opened wide her mouth agape and he smiled at her. "Why?"

Jason gave her one more deep kiss before replying. "Because I'm falling in love with you my little vixen." Pecked her lips once more. "I'm in love with you baby and the only thought makes me wanna keep you in my arms. Till the rest of my day's."
