Ambrosia

I may have been the child of Poseidon but I couldn't swim. My powers were crushing me from the insides out. I couldn't breathe. I thrashed around in the water hoping that it would bring me back to the surface. I couldn't see Percy anywhere. I couldn't let Percy be the one to die for Nico. Percy is a hero. He would be remembered. I, on the other hand would not. Percy deserves to live.

Hera told me that I was nothing compared to the gods. That I may have been a goddess but of what. Nothing. Something then grabbed my wrist and pulled me up. I started to struggle until I saw it was Tyson saving me. I had not realized how deep I had been until Tyson started to lose air. It wasn't until he started trying to swim faster that images started running through my mind. Images of Tyson when he was young, at camp, in Atlantus working with other cyclops, and finally Poseidon talking with Tyson about how Poseidon wasn't his father.

Tyson hadn't told any of us that was why he couldn't breathe. Suddenly I had a bigger will to live. To save Tyson. The water began pushing Tyson up. In a matter of seconds we had made at least 50 feet of water. The sea threw Tyson and I out like a bouncer at a club who threw someone who was causing trouble. I gained my footing and got to Tyson who wasn't moving. I started to panic again but remembered what had happened the last time and calmed down. Tyson wasn't breathing. Will tried CPR but it wasn't working Tyson had too much water in his lungs. I was the first to start crying. I cried on Tyson's cold body. He shouldn't have died. He wasn't even a child of Poseidon. He wasn't supposed to die. What I had seen when we were in the water was Tyson's life flashing before my eyes. Tears fell on Tyson's face as I looked up. The tears dribbling into his mouth. I looked at Annabeth and Percy. Percy was crying on Annabeth's shoulder. Tyson was the only sibling that Percy had. Piper and Will were crying. Both holding onto Nico's hands. Nico held in his tears. He was the only one of us who was strong enough to wait till we got back to camp morn.

I stood up and wiped my tears. I walked over to Percy and swapped places with Annabeth. I hugged him because I had also loved Tyson, not a brother but like way Percy loved Annabeth. The only difference was that I would never be able to tell him that. Percy gasped. I turned around and saw Tyson moving. His chest slowly rising and falling. His eye fluttered open. Piper squealed with delight. Will's eyes shown like the sun itself. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I ran and hugged him. I was about to pull away when he grabbed my arms and looked down at me. His big brown eye made me melt. He leaned down and kissed me on my forehead.

"I love you," he whispered in my ear.

"I love you too, Tyson." I said loud enough for everyone to hear.
