Another Half Blood Story

Chapter 18

Ambrosia

"I feel like an actual teenager." Percy commented with a mouthful of taco in his mouth.

"No talking with food in your mouth, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said after slapping his shoulder. Piper and Will fought over what I should eat. While they were arguing Nico pulled me aside and ordered me chicken burrito. His favorite and he swore by it. I sat next to Tyson and Nico. Tyson looked at Percy like he was nervous. Percy put his arm around Annabeth and motioned Tyson to do the same. I pretended that I had not noticed their silent conversation. I took a bite out of my food which turned out to be good. Like Percy had said we all felt normal if not for a moment ,and I realized I knew what Chiron had meant when he gave me the advice in the beginning of the quest. I had learned from all of these people around me and I imagine they learned from me as well.

After eating nobody felt like driving back to camp. We headed towards the hotel once again to sleep. This time we all slept in the same room because we didn't have much money left, and Piper didn't want to use the credit card again in case her dad thought paying hundreds of dollars for a hotel was out of their price limit. Before getting to the hotel Piper made Annabeth stop at a movie rental. Piper walked out of store with an armload of Disney movies such Hercules, Aladdin, Atlantis, and The Lion King. We all curled up in blankets and watched the movies together. Nico kept laughing at what Hades looked like. Piper, Percy, and Annabeth tried to refrain themselves from singing all the song but failed. Will fell asleep on Nico, and Tyson fell asleep next to me. In the beginning of 'Atlantis' I drifted off into a deep peaceful sleep.
