Erica sat staring at the bathroom door. Everything becoming like a nightmare. Cyn was leaving and going back to new york. This was it the love of her life was leaving. She was brought out of her gaze by her phone ringing. She reached for it on the bedside table and answered.

Erica: hello?

??: mija, how was your night. I want to hear all the details. Did you and cyn danced the night away.

Erica: no Mami. The night was a total disater.

Sonia: what happen, you was so excited about the ball. You talked about it for days now.

Erica: well, it was going as planned. But I ended up fighting, busting up my friends face.

Sonia: omg, are you OK.

Erica: im sporting some bruises, but I'll leave.

Sonia: what caused this.

Erica: cyn.

Sonia: cyn, what did she do.

Erica: Mami, my coworker had a crush on cyn from the moment he met her a couple weeks ago.

Sonia: she's not an ugly girl erica.

Erica: but she's my girl.

Sonia: you was always possessive over her. So what else happen.

Erica: well I was giving the Vote of thanks, and there he was leaning into cyn ear, whispering and rubbing her arms. I lost it and punched him.

Sonia: jasmine, I can't believe you punch someone in their face for that.

Erica: he hit me back tho.

Sonia: I would think so.

Erica: ya, but he looks worse than me for sure. Anyways I ended up getting suspended for a couple weeks with half pay*chuckling* like I need their money. What a joke. I could open my own clinic and get people lining up around the block.

Sonia: ya, but you will miss the rush of being in operating room and besides you like working with Daniel.

Erica: ya, well his the one that suspended me. He not looking too good in my books.

Sonia: why the hell are you so stubborn. Accept that your wrong. So what did cyn have to say about the fight?

Erica: I cursed her out and left her there.

Sonia: no, I dont believe you would do something so stupid.

Erica:well I was mad at her. I came home got drunk, cut my hands open on broken glass, almost drown in the pool

Sonia: how the hell, I'm about to book a flight to come out there and whoop your ass.

Erica: but I didnt die. Cyn saved me.

Sonia: she should have left your ass to drown.

Erica: Mami, you dont mean that*pouting*

Sonia: if you want to be a jackass, and do stupid shit then yes. Where is cyn anyways. I need to thank her for saving your ass. Did you say thank you and apologize to her for embarrassing her last night.

Erica: um

Sonia: what did you do?

Erica: cyn leaving to go back to new York.

Sonia:ERICA JASMINE MENA

Erica: *scared* y-yes

Sonia: tell me what the hell you did to my daughter. I swear to God I'm going to break your neck.

Erica: mami, she saw me naked when she brought me in from the pool. I can't face her. Its better if she left.

Sonia: your the dumbest person I know. Thats your girlfriend, your best friend. The one person you should trust. If she was disgusted by you, should would have left your ass the moment she got you from that pool. Did she shy away from you, or look at you any way.

Erica: no, but

Sonia: but, nothing. Fix this. Your going to apologize to cyn and make sure that she's smiling. Or so help me I'm going to jail in miami for murdering my child. I'll be calling back in one hour. You hear me.

Erica: silence

Sonia: I SAID , DO YOU HEAR ME.

erica: *scared* yes mam.

Sonia : fix this now* hangs up*

Erica watched the phone for a few seconds until the bathroom door open and out walks cyn in q white bath towel.

Cyn: I'm sorry, I didnt know you was still here. I will be out of your way soon.*about to walk into the closet with her head down*

Erica:cyn, can you come here q minute

Cyn:*shaking her head no*

Erica: I'm sorry.

Cyn; its OK, I deserve it.

Erica:  no, you dont. Can you please come awhile. I would come to you, but my head is killing me.

Cyn: I have to get ready if I want to try to get a flight out of Miami today. *going into the closet*

Erica: *standing up and wobbling* cyn, holding on to the bed for support, before walking slowly into the closet. Where cyn was just stepping into her underwear.* cyn

Cyn turned around in surprise nearly clutching the bath towel infront her breast and staring at erica. Erica looked at cyn and her heart twisted painfully. Cyn entire face was red and puffy. Her eyes was blood shot and her nose resembled Rudolph red nose. Erica walked to her and gasped her hands.

Erica: I'm sorry. I didnt mean to hurt you like that. I'm more mad at myself than you.

Cyn: its OK

Erica: no, its not. I made you cry, because im afraid. I'm afraid that after you saw me naked, you would be disgusted by me. so before you could hurt me I tried to hurt you first and push you away.

Cyn: I'm would never be disgusted by you. I told you that I loved you. All your flaws and imperfection. Why dont you trust that I won't intentionally hate you.

Erica: I'm sorry cyn, I'm just scrared. I'm scared out of my mind.

Cyn: do you love me?

Erica: yes,so much

Cyn; do you believe bthat I love you.

Erica: yes

Cyn; am I disgusted by you*looking her dead in the eye*

Erica:no

Cyn; can you trust me jasmine. Trust me with your heart ,body and soul.

Erica: *taking deep breathes* yes

Cyn; OK *closing the space between then and kissing erica with everything in her. She wanted her to feel her love for her through the kiss.

Erica arms wrapped around cyn damp body deepening the kiss. Somehow all the pain she was feeling awhile ago left.  kissing cyn took away all the aniexty she had. Erica didnt register that they was walking, until her leg hit the edge of the bed and cyn broke the kiss, dropping her towel.

Erica:wh*gco*

Cyn: trust me*pushing Erica so she was laying on her back, before climbing over her*
