Harry walked down the corridors trying not to look at anyone or anything. The noise of the halls was headache inducing even without it bouncing off the stone walls. He could hear Fred and George trying to convince Neville that he truly belonged in Gryffindor and he could hear countless other students complaining about the resorting and the particularly loud Gryffindor's complaining about being swindled out of their money and mead by the devilish twins.

Everything around him seemed to exist to simply remind him of the resorting. From Ron's complaining to peeves reminders written on the walls in chalk that the teachers might have appreciated if it didn't include so many foul words, harry even made sure to remember a few for the next time he met Malfoy. Speaking of the devil; Peeves glided over them and picked on a Ravenclaw who looked as upset as Neville.

"Oh will you stop moping, even if one of us gets sorted somewhere else it's not like its the end of the world." Hermione snapped still in a foul mood after Ron's whining, although Harry thought the redhead had every right to whine.

"But Hermione what if -" Ron didn't dare finish his sentence after the look she sent his way. It reminded Harry terribly of McGonagall.

"It's going to be fine. Do you really think Dumbledore would let this happen if he thought it was going to hurt the students?" Said Hermione as she played the Dumbledore card with all the flair and manipulitiveness of a Slytherin.

"Not on purpose." Ron muttered under his breath, but based on the glare Hermione sent his way it seemed he had said it to loudly.

"Hey don't worry about the resorting, if you get sorted into Slytherin I'll make sure to join you so we can fight of those slimy snakes together." Said Ron giving Harry a grin as he noticed the look of pure dread upon Harrys face.

"Unless you belong in Slytherin there's no way you can get sorted there Ron." Said Hermione accidently squashing the tiny bit of hope the two boys were clinging to.

"And I'm the one with the emotions of a tablespoon or whatever." Ron grumbled.

"Emotional range of a teaspoon." Hermione corrected before dragging the two boys down the corridor as she was growing rather impatient as they continued to quite literally drag their feet.

"You're heads going to swell up with all the information you stuff into it." Ron said with a smirk.

"You're heads already big enough for the three of us." Hermione quipped.

Harry chuckled at their bickering and Ron's very red face as he tried to retort but only managed to make odd sputtering sounds.

"Well at least we don't have to worry about you getting Ravenclaw." Hermione said sweetly to Ron taking full advantage of Ron's incoherent sputtering to insult him again, although it was done playfully.
