The walk back to the dungeons was over in the blink of an eye. Harry hissed open at the wall and stepped through. Malfoy was helping Pansy with her essay and Blaise was staring at a jar that appeared to contain an assortment eyeballs. Harry crept silently past them and entered his dorm.

He haphazardly tossed his cloak and the map back into his trunk and stood there deep in thought. The creature that was in the crate had to have come from the Forbidden forest, he knew that much. Hagrid was also coming from the Forbidden forest. The beast was trying to get into the castle and the other teachers arrived and stopped it. The question was what was it, why was Dumbledore so bloody calm, and why the hell was it even trying to get into the school in the first place.

At this point, Harry had begun to pace. His thoughts made no sense although he was never very observant nor was he the brightest. His heart ached as he realized how much he was going to miss having Hermione and Ron so close to him. He'd have to wait till at least after breakfast before he could even speak to them. He needed Hermione's brilliance, he needed Ron's jokes, he needed his friends.

With a slight growl, Harry opened up his chest pulled out the map that he had thrown in there seconds earlier, some parchment, and a quill along with some ink. He may not be able to see nor chat with his friends but he wasn't about to waste his time wallowing in self-pity.

Harry pulled open his curtains and sat on the bed before setting the map out in front of them and placing the parchment next to it. He nibbled at the end of his quill as he tried to piece together the 100-piece puzzle he'd been given with the few pieces he'd managed to nick.

"Oh, don't tell me you're doing homework too!" Blaise whined loudly as he flopped down on his bed next to Harrys.

"Course not, I finished all of it on the train," Harry muttered his eyes flicking across the map as he watched the teachers who had been present gather in Dumbledore's office, except Umbridge of course. He would give up a finger and a half just to hear what they were chatting about at that very moment.

"You did months' worth of work in 8 hours?" Blaise asked skeptically.

"16 hours, to and from Hogwarts." Harry corrected glaring at the names within Dumbledore's office. It reminded him too much of summer...with the order meetings and the secrets. Refusing to tell him information because he was a child...he could barely remember a time when he was a real care-free child. He always had something hanging over his head. And now they refused to tell him about an impending war that he was going to have to fight in...basically, win, so they could protect something he never had, to begin with. It made his blood positively boil.

"Why not just do it over summer?" Blaise asked.

"Can't" Harry answered simply as he continued to glare at the names, too caught up in his own bitter brooding.

"Why not?" Blaise asked glancing at Harry who was glaring at a piece of parchment like it had just called his mother a nasty name.

"My relatives don't like magic stuff; now can you stop yapping at me so I can concentrate," Harry growled
