"Y/N." You saluted as soon as you heard the captain mention your name. "Yes, Captain?" You responsed with a straight and tough voice.
"We're getting nearer to the Straw Hats, start preparing along with Tashigi and the platoon." Smoker orders, of course while smoking.
"Yes, sir!" You walked out of the room and informed Tashigi and the others. While preparing, Tashigi walked over to you and asked to talk a little. [A/N: You and Tashigi are in the same rank, therefore, there's no need for formalities, unless you're really nice and respectful.]
"Y/N, you like Captain don't you?" Tashigi giggled. You faintly blushed. "N-no. That's not true Tashigi-senpai..." You stuttered. She nudged your right arm and smirked. [A/N: You're preparing gunpowders at the storage room.]
"I know you like him, don't lie~" Tashigi cooed. You just sighed, giving up. Knowing Tashigi, you knew you won't ever win an argument with her, but if you're Captain Smoker, it's a different story.
"I knew it~" She smiled creepily. "Ugh, stop that smile Tashigi, it's creepy." You cringed as you looked at her with your eyes half closed.
"That's all I needed to know, see you later~" Tashigi waves her left hand before leaving. You sighed once again now because of relief. "Good riddance."
Just as you were about to go back to whatever you're doing, a certain voice called out for you. "Y/N."
You immedietly stood straight and saluted. "Yes, sir?" You said in a straight and clear voice. "No need to call me sir or captain when no one's around." He says, removing his tobacco and extinguishing it's fire at his foot. [A/N: You know, when you step on the cigarette to extinguish the heat?]
"A-are you sure, sir?" You asked with uncertainty. As a response, he just glared at you. You swallowed a bit of your saliva due to nervousness and dropped down your saluting hand.
"I received an unconfirmed information, there might be others who're after the Straw Hats," Smoker sat down on a crate. "We should take precaution, there might be notorious and heartless pirates who'll come across us."
"Yes, S-Smoker." You stuttered on his name
because you're not used to it. "What exactly is the p-purpose of you telling me this? I-I mean, it's a basic for marines to take precautions.." Your voice lowered as you noticed his hand curl into a fist.
"S-Smoker?" You asked. "I don't want to lose you." He said, eyes darkened. "I'm not sure if my power is enough to protect you, I'm scared that you'll suddenly be gone.."
Your eyes widened. A faint blush appeared on your cheeks and your voice was stuck on your throat. "So please, promise me right now," His eyes met yours, his having tears at the edge of his eyes. "That you won't ever leave me.."
You don't know why, but your heart ached seeing him being like this. You didn't know he had this kind of feeling towards you. "S-Smoker.. Yeah, I promise." You smiled, tears falling from your eyes.
"Yeah... I promise.."
BANG!
Your eyes opened wide as you felt a stinging pain on your head. "Itaaaaaaai! (It huuuuurts!)" You rubbed your head in pain, a tear planning to escape your left eye.
"Seriously this woman," You heard a familiar voice. "Stop sleeping soundly and comfortably there, we've sighted the Straw Hats' ship!"
"Y-Yes! Captain!" You saluted, still on your bed. Your captain just shook his head and left the room face palming his face. You stood there on your bed, blushing a scarlet shade, and bearing a nest hair...
