Vinsmoke Sanji X Reader - Taste Test Incident

"Chef Sanji! You my man, is a true chef!"

You exclaim pretty loudly as you devour on the new recipe of paella he's been working on. Sanji, being Sanji, rushes over to you with his signature heart eyes. "Y/N-channnnn~ Is it good~?"

One thing he doesn' t know, you're like, so in love with him.

You try to conceal the blush creeping on your face as you try to pass it off as some platonic nodding.

Go awayyyyy, please spare my soul.

Thankfully Luffy starts doing some dumb shit so Sanji shifted his attention. You discreetly let out a sigh and pretend to be occupied by the absolute meal Sanji has served.

(Before Bed Time)

The waves are calmer than it was during the day. Everyone else in the crew has retired to their rooms and is no doubt, sleeping their asses off. You just finished showering and wore your loose shirt and short pajamas. You were on your bed reading a book, feeling the ship sway calmly along the waves. Suddenly, you hear knocks on your door.

Setting your book down, you put on a thin cardigan to cover your cozy outfit. You opened the door to find none other than Sanji, standing outside. He meets your eyes and you immediately feel the familiar shivers down your spine.

"H-hey, Sanji! Haha, what's up?" You stutter a bit, mentally facepalming yourself.

Scanning him briefly, you realize that he's holding a plate containing what seems like a new dish he has made again.

"(Y/n)-chwan~ Sorry to bother you in your sleep." The blonde haired chef coos. "Try this new dish I made~"

He scoops a spoonful of the saucy dish and extends it towards your mouth, implying you to have a taste. This takes you by surprise and your eyes widen a bit. You let out a short laugh to soften the tension you started feeling.

"O-okay.." You reply in a whisper. He totally thinks I'm weird now, fuuu-

Extending your head a bit to take a spoonful, your eyes wander back to his face for a moment. The chef is looking sharp and handsome, as always. He stares at you with much anticipation, and you take this moment to appreciate his passion as a chef.

"So? How was it?" He asks.

You put your hand against your chin and close your eyes, to show that you're thinking about it.

"Chef Sanji, you've done it again!" You say cheerfully afterwards. He smiles at your feedback, a faint blush creeping on both your faces.

"I'm really glad you liked it." Sanji breaks the short silence.

"Who wouldn't? If someone did, they'd have numb tongues."

"You flatter me, (Y/n)."

"No, like actuall-" Your sentence was cut off when you suddenly felt a little, weird.

You feel a familiar heat in your stomach, and it feels like your body is on fire. Your cheeks started to flush and your mind starts to get a little cloudy. You suddenly realize what it was. The blonde haired man notices the change in your state. "(Y/n)? Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah.. Uhm.. Sanji? What was.. In that soup again?" You ask trying to suppress the feeling that was pooling up within you.

"It's just this new fish Usopp caught the other day. My book says it was edible so I wanted to try a new dish.."Sanji trails off and starts to panic a bit. "Is it poisoned?! Are you okay (Y/n)-chan?!" He exclaims.

You flail a hand in front of him and shake your head. "I-it's fine.. I just started to feel a little sleepy.. That's all." You try to shake him away. I really need alone time. You legs start to get a little shaky. That's a strong one, might need to see Chopper.
