Sitting on a park bench and watching as cars drive by was not as fun as I had hoped. So stupid of me, to act so rebellious against my mother. Yes, she had truly dug herself into a deep and horrid hole but now I probably had no where to go and winter months were coming fast.
People scurried past me, some were walking their dogs others were letting their children play with their friends.
Sometimes I wish I was a child again. No worries, a happy perfect family. Oh who am I kidding, nobody's perfect, my dad wasn't even perfect and leaving sure in hell proved it.
And me, well, I'm not even human. I could always just live as a wolf I mean, it couldn't be that bad. At least I wouldn't have to deal with finding my own apartment and sleeping on cold park benches in the meantime.
I groan as rain falls from the dark clouds. Everyone who has a place to go sprints out of the park grounds and into their fancy cars. I on the other hand stay seated, bringing my knees to my chest so I can attempt at staying warm.
Maybe if I went back home mom would once again accept me but even then I don't wanna go back. I'd rather sit here and suffer then watch her take back in that man and get all lovey dovey with him.
To my suprise, I see a lone boy walking down the little park trail. A ciggaret is placed between his middle and index finger. He has black hair that's cut short on the sides and long in the middle. Ha, the classic fuck boy look, what a shocker. To top it all off he's covered in tattoos and is rocking the jean jacket looket.
Oddly enough, he sits next to me, glancing at me every once in a while. I bet he thinks I don't notice but with nothing better to do or think about I watch his every move from out of the corner of my eye.
"Jinx." The boy finally decides to say, looking at me with a smirk. Somehow, I know this guy and I only that by the eyes and the smirk. His eyes are like mine, unnatural colors. A deep green and sharp violet.
A thought pop's in my head. Maybe, all werevoles have the crazy eyes meaning maybe he's one, just like me.
Instincts seem to awaken in me and I inhale slowly. Certain smells drive me wild and the boy Jinx seems imused. It's like, he smells of all things good but I cant exactly say what it is.
I speak, trying not to sound like a total weirdo. "Um, so... do you believe in um, the supernatural by any chance?" I smile, clearly I'm just plain out cringe worthy.
Jinx just looks at me oddly but then as if he's not very suprised by my unusual question.
"Why you ask? And, maybe I do, maybe I don't."
His response sends shivvers down my spine. The cold rain continues to fall from the cloudy dark sky and by now my hair is like a drenched mop.
"Ohh.. okay well how bout you go, it's getting cold." I smile once again but this time I'm almost too sure he can see the fakeness in it. I've never really been very good at hiding things with a smile. The hurt, confusin, or whatever felling I have at the moment always happens to show in my eyes. Jinx shakes his head in reply though, refusing to leave my side as oddly and weird as it seems. If I were to say I wanted him gone, I'd be lying to be honest. Company is needed right now. I'd hate to be alone with my annoying thoughts that just don't know when to leave me alone. So annoying, so ridiculous.
The nice looking man just shakes his head, refusing to take up my offer to go home. His choice.
"May I ask why your eyes are that color?" I ask politely. Something about his are seriously throwing me off. Yea, I have crazy eyes to but I've seen his before. Nobody can mistaken that pure violet.
Once again, Jinx shakes his head and the rain starts to pour uncontrollably. I look down at the sidewalk realizing just how cold it is out.
"You could come stay with me, if need be." The polite man smiles softly and holds out his hand. At first I feel the need to refuse his sweet offer but no doubt will I regret it in the end so I just put my hand in his, following till we get up to a all black corvette.
He opens the passenger side door for me and I sit inside the car, watching as he makes his way over to the driver's side door. When he gets in and starts the car up I silently beg for the heat, rubbing my hands together frantically. He obliges and turns it at full blast, which, I'm so very thankful for.
The trees whip past as Jinx, the incredibly handsome man that I could have sworn I've seen before drives down the road. He grips onto the steeringwheel tightly, his knuckles turning white in the passing seconds. It's pretty obvious something is bugging him but I decide to remain quiet and attempt to take a well needed nap.
I wrest my head on the window and close my eyes, breathing in deeply and mentally begging for the sleep to wash over me. It doesn't though. I'm stuck with the tiredness but can't seem to grasp onto the sleep. I groan and put y feet up on the dashboard, shifting my body I a much more comfy position.
Jinx hasn't said a word since we got into the car and to be quite honest it certainly does make the surrounding air uncomfortable. I turn my head to look at him and he's got a intoxicating smirk on his face. All of a sudden, he peeps up, breaking into the silence.
"Your heartbeats not normal. Are you scared, Bella?" The way he says my name gives me the chills but I shake my head slowly, squinting my eyes and turning my whole body towards him in the process.
I speak up this time, with a question of my own. "Why do I have the faint memory of you? It's like, I haven't seen you before but then I remember you. Why? Like I've been experiencing really weird things lately and like, I kinda don't need any more problems." I smile, trying not to sound like the crazy, werewolf freak I am.
Continuing to smirk, Jinx chuckles. "Oh Bella, you'll soon know everything to need to. Just don't ask to many questions or things could go terribly wrong."
Now, I wish everything was still silent because it just got very frightening. "Great" I look out the window once again, making a immediate plan to go back home, where I'll probably be screamed at but I'll be able to right back.
Within a couple minutes we park in a large driveway. There's a mansion and I know, I know I've seen it before. My head just, begins hurting and my heart begins to beat rapidly. Jinx looks over at me, raising his eyebrows as if saying I look like a total ridiculous little girl. Normally, I would have snapped at anyone judging me but I could hardly talk or breath now and I had to concentrate on not breaking into a full anxiety attack.
Jinx buffs beside me, pulling me into his warm arms and looking down at me with a devilish smile.
"Calm yourself. You won't get anywhere freaking out like that."My body, begins to shake like a washing machine cleaning its heaviest load. That only lasts a couple minutes and I calm again. I breath in heavily and crawl out of Jinx's hold on me. He's watching me carefully I step out of the car to get fresh air.
Just as I thought I would be perfectly fine now it's like a huge tidal wave crashing over me. Memories, thoughts, pain, fear, sadness, it all washes over me and I panic like never before.
My legs go limp and I fall to the surface of the earth just watching as a vivid dream traps me inside of it. Everything makes since now. Jinx hurt me, here, inside this mansion. Hell, I'm not going crazy, but those shots, they erased my memory. Too bad they came back, now they're staying.
