Special Chapter 11 - A friend for life

Knott's POV

0062 Kongpope seemed like he was going to be the troublemaker of this first year group. We just had the first gathering with the juniors and he already on got Arthit's nerves. After the students were dismissed, Arthit was still steaming. 

'Arthit...'

Arthit looked at me still looking sharply. 

'Why did you get so angry at what he said. He was just being a smart ass. If you let it get to you...' 

'Yeah, I know Knott.' 

I raised my eyebrows in question.

'I don't know...there was just something about him that got my nerves.'

Bright raised his hand.

'I have the answer. Arthit doesn't like that 0062 is taller than him and more handsome that him. He has that prince type of vibe.'

'You must be joking Bright.'

'Seriously though, did you see the girls' faces? They were practically drooling when he stood up to ask for more time to get signatures. Like he was some hero.'

Prem scoffed, 'The guy is too arrogant.'

Toota clapped his hands, 'Yeah well, he will definitely win the Moon of the Faculty Award for the Engineering Faculty...so let's nominate him.'

'Him?' Arthit sneered. 

'At least the faculty will win.'

'Just set him straight about his manners and it's done.'

'Why me?' Arthit frowned. 

'You are THE head hazer.'

'Yeah yeah...thanks for the reminder. As long as he doesn't get on my nerves again.'

We were all sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch. Bright and Prem were checking out the girls when we noticed a mob of girls was gathered around 0062 Kongpope who was getting signatures from the seniors. He was already popular and then I noticed the annoyed look on Arthit's face. I hope he keeps his temper in check...but it didn't happen. 

He was helping a friend get signatures and that just lit the fuse in Arthit and what happened next wasn't pleasant to see. Arthit made the kid get on the table and yell that he liked men. After the ruckus at the cafeteria died down, we made our way to class. 

'Arthit...'

'You went too far...'

Arthit looked at me sheepishly. 'But Knott...he's so....' 

'I didn't say anything in the cafeteria in front of the juniors. Since you are the head hazer but what you did was just not right.'

He sighed, 'I lost my temper...it's just something about him that just strikes me wrong.'

'Plus they all just got here. It will take time for them to understand SOTUS.' 

He sighed shuffling his feet. 

'I never have seen anyone affect you so much...'

'Me neither. There's something about this junior that just makes me...irritated.'

'I think it's because he has guts to challenge you that you are behaving like this...just take down a notch, will you? The teachers are keeping a close eye on the SOTUS program this year. We have to perfectly handle these situations...'
