Soon enough, there was a knock at the front door followed by the detective yelling, "POLICE, OPEN UP!" I strolled casually over to the door and turned the knob with a smile on my face. Not to my surprise, there stood the detective with at least 5 FBI officers. He saw the grin on my face and mirrored it back. I stepped to the side and held out my hand, gesturing for them to come inside.

"They're in the attic." I said very calmly and began to lead the officers down the corridor. Once we reached the top of the stairs, I allowed the officers to go infront of me, guns blazing. They rushed in and handcuffed each person, excluding Dylan and Victoria, of course, and began to shove them down the stairs in a forceful mannor.

Before I knew it, Dylan had engulfed me in a bear hug and whispered in my ear, "You did it." I smiled at him gratefully, but quickly came to the realization that it wasn't just me that helped capture the filthy scum that had previosly been sitting before us.

"No , Dylan. We did it. You,me, Victoria, the detective, and even Gianna."

"Gianna too? How so?" Victoria exclaimed.

"Gianna helped because she brought them to us. She created this whole elaborate plan just to have something bad happen to me, but really something bad happened to her and those awful men that had hurt my sister years before."

"Karma's a bitch." Dylan said with a chuckle.

"Right on." I said, as he put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him once more. We followed the police outside and watched as the three offenders were forced into the squad cars, smiles plastered on our faces.

As we were walking back into my house, I said, "Wow, so this is finally over. "

Victoria looked over to me and smiled genuienly. "Finally." She replied back.

"So what's next?" Dylan said as we all sat down on the couch. "Where are you gonna go now, River?"

"Well, I'm not staying here...I don't know where I'll go. Probably move in with my aunt or something. What about you guys? Gonna go about your normal lives?"

"Yeah, probably. Until something else comes up," Dylan said with a chuckle.

For the rest of the night, we sat around, ate snacks and watched movies. Everything seemed perfect, and remained perfect.

*Time skip to 20 years in the future*

"Okay, honey, have a good day at work! Remember, We're going over to your sister's for dinner tonight!" I yelled into the kitchen to my husband.

"I will! Love you!" He said as he kissedme quickly and finished tying his tie. "Don't think I forgot about you, pumpkin!" He scooped up our 3 year old daughter, kissed her on the cheek and handed her off to me. Vienna and I watched as Dylan left the house, then resumed our daily routine. I sat her down in the height chair and feed her breakfast.

I guess you could say that our lives have changed for the better, ever since the incident. Dylan and I got married and had our beautiful daughter, Vienna. Victoria also got married to this really funny guy named Noah, they invite us to have dinner at their house every Friday night. And Gianna, she's still locked up in a prison cell, trying to improve her life.

I guess you could say that everything really did work out in the end. But, I'm still grateful for what happened, it shaped all of us into who we are today.
