CHAPTER FIVE
So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you?
~ "Ain't It Fun" Paramore
*Did you get home?* I read the words that were written across my phone's screen as I stepped into my apartment locking the door behind me.
I hadn't reply to Harry's last text but there he was, still insisting in making a conversation with me. Was I really that interesting or was he just really bored?
I placed my keys on a small black bowl that lay in the kitchen's countertop before going upstairs to my room. The curtains that covered the big window right next to my bed were being blown by the wind outside.
Shit, I forgot to close it. I would be panicking if it was winter and snow or rain was pouring outside but thankfully it was summer and it barely even rained.
What should I reply to him? I'd been careful not to sound too childish or too immature in every text that I sent him, he had this confident look to him that made me feel somehow inferior. He seemed like a really serious man regardless of what happened.
I lay on my bed, rereading his text for the hundredth time. A small smile formed in my face, it was actually cute how interested he was in me.
Crap. I had forgotten about my innocent lie earlier, I told him I had plans when in reality I just had a date with the newest episode of The Carrie Dairies that was airing tonight.
*Sadly yes, plans got cancelled." I replied to him, lying again.
Hopefully he won't ask me to go out with him, that's the last thing I want, I'd rather stay home and enjoy a quiet night.
Right when I turned on the TV the ending credits of a random show that I didn't care enough to watch were vanishing and the voice of a male soon appeared announcing the new episode of my favorite TV show.
I felt my phone vibrating underneath me and I quickly grabbed it.
*I could help you with that.*
A text from Becky2.
I laughed at the lame name I had his number saved as, I could have changed it I guess but I didn't want to explain to Rebecca why I had Harry's number if she ever came across a text or a call from him.
*What do you mean?* I replied. His offer sounded a little secretive but at the same time intriguing, he could mean 'hey, let's go grab some dinner' or 'hey, we can have some fun in your apartment'. To be honest, I didn't like any of those options.
Not even a minute had passed when my phone vibrated again, letting me know Harry had replied.
*What are you wearing?* the text said.
I knew it! My subconscious proudly clapped her hands.
Seriously?! I might be young but I'm no idiot. Strike two, was he obsessed with sex or something like that? I was definitely not having a sext session with him. I wouldn't even know how to reply, I'd never done anything like that before.
I was so done with this conversation. I put the phone down on my night stand without replying and made myself comfortable on the bed as the face of Anna Sophia Robb appeared on my TV screen.
A few minutes later another text popped up and I turned to look down at my phone.
*I'm kidding, but if you had the intention to actually reply to my question, I wouldn't mind.* It said and my lips curled into a grin.
