CHAPTER 9
There is only one happiness in life,
to love and be loved.
~George SandsSaturday
There was light everywhere, the warmth of my bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave it but the glare was too strong that it ended up completely waking me up. It was a beautiful morning, the sun greeted me pouring through the full-height window behind me. I could already hear the cars from outside beeping and accelerating. I stared at the ceiling for a moment enjoying the silence of my apartment, thinking about almost everything, especially boys. Boys were unpredictable, Harry was unpredictable and maybe that was one of the best things about him.
I glanced over at the alarm clock on my beside table. it was 7:30 in the morning.
Holy shit! Today was my sister's wedding. I cursed under my breath, just the idea of getting ready was frustrating enough to make me fall asleep again on purpose.
I quickly grabbed my phone and sitting there waiting for me was a text from Harry. My heart leaped into my mouth.
*I'm looking forward to seeing you.*
A smile plastered on my face and I instantly found myself grinning like an idiot. He was thinking about me.
After grabbing coffee on Thursday he drove me back to the hotel and I hadn't heard from him until right now. Damn, it was worth the wait
*I'm looking forward to seeing you too.* I replied.
Somehow this last text wasn't like the others he had sent me. This one held a promise, we were going to see each other today and knowing that he was actually waiting for that moment made me smile like a small and excited child.
I called my sister to know how she was doing and to my surprise she was actually awake, waiting for her hairdresser. That reminded me, what the hell was I supposed to do with my hair?
I clambered out of bed and after a quick trip to bathroom I went in search of some breakfast.
An apple and yogurt was enough, no dirty dishes, no mess to clean, just perfect.
Just as I was about to head upstairs, the door buzzer startled me. Someone visiting me? Who could that be? I pressed the intercom.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"Sergio Gallo sweetie, I'm here to do your makeup and your hair. Rebecca sent me." An extremely girly and exciting voice answered and relief crashed through me. Thank god!
After a few minutes the tall and tanned man was already in my living room, organizing his utensils. Some mascara, eyeliner, hair clips, bobby pins, lipstick, blow drier, etc.
Damn, I loved my sister.
I left Sergio doing his thing while I headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
As I stared at the shower wall unwelcome thoughts filled my mind, was everything ready? What about my toast? I didn't write anything down, crap, I would have to improvise. The water was slowly turning cold as I wondered about all the details. Fuck, I hated cold water. Thank God I managed to quickly wash my hair.
30 minutes later I was sitting on a couch at my living room, waiting for Sergio to work his magic on me.
"Your skin is amazing, those little freckles on your nose are adorable, sweetie." The man said as he added some weird cream that I've never worn before to my face.
"Thank you." I squirmed on my seat. I hated flattery, it made me so uncomfortable.
Sergio turned out to be one of the best hairdresser in New York and soon he was going to expand his brand to Vermont. He had a boyfriend, Mark, who seemed to be extremely handsome and athletic. He became quite animated telling me random stories about the two of them.
