You grab the note with caution; not really wanting to know what it says. You unfold it and read it out loud, "Hey honey, I'm sorry I couldn't message you this instead. I'm going to be out for the night tonight, I'll be back by the morning though I promise. I met this nice guy off a dating app, I love you
-mum"
You let out an angry sigh. You didn't want anyone else in the house ever since your dad had died. You grab the spare key from under the doormat and unlock the front door.
Walking trough the door you're met with the sweet smell of your mothers perfume, the scent of vanilla filled the house. You run upstairs to get changed out of your school clothes. Whilst looking around for a shirt you notice your washings done; you smile. It's been forever since your mums done your washing. She's usually too busy cooking dinner or working on an art project.
Shortly after changing clothes your phone buzzes, you don't bother to check it though. "It's probably someone from school again," you say out loud as you run your slender fingers through your dark hair.

{~I'm sorry it's so short I'm in a horrible place mentally right now I promise I'll finish it later guys please don't be mad at me~}
