A few days later, I walked to the ship door hesitantly and looked around at my surroundings. It looked like the coast was clear. I stepped out slowly and hastily began walking to the cluster's entrance.
'HUUUUUAAAAAAHHHH!' I heard a yell, presumably from the Amethyst, trying to knock me over and pin me to floor without hurting me. I quickly dodged, just in time as a flash of purple came streaking past me milliseconds later. The amethyst stood up, rubbing her head from running straight into a wall, unaware of her actions during the moment. I snickered at her antics, as I ran for the entrance. WHOOSH! A Rose Quartz shield came hurtling in my direction. I gasped at seeing the symbol upon it once again, for the first time in years, and quickly ducked down to the floor, in full armadillo mode. Once heaving myself back up and dusting myself off, I turned to see the Crystal Gems stood there - including my adoptive brother.
'Why hello there! And who might you be?' I asked him, putting on a fake smile.
'Why do you care? You're from Homeworld. I can tell by your clothes. You're just going to try and kill us anyway. And you'll fail! Because we are the Crystal-'
'Yes, yes that's all fine and dandy, boy, what a lovely speech. You know, you should get into campaigning, you could really make a difference.' I said sarcastically, cutting him off and making over-the-top hand gestures.
'But if you must know - I'm Steven.' He said.
'Ah, Steven.' I smiled.
'You don't need to speak to him like that. You just need to come with us and we can explain everything.' Pearl stepped in, interfering my first encounter with my brother.
'We don't want to make this hard. We might just have to kidnap you.' Garnet said calmly. She confused me.
'Don't interrupt me.' I spoke. 'That's very rude. Especially since these are not your matters,' I brushed past them, all rooted to the spot with a low growl coming from Amethyst. I walked up to Steven, as he walked backwards. I stopped after we were a few paces away from the gems and looked down at him with no expression. He stared back up with hate in his eyes. Why didn't I just kill him right there? Simple. He was my brother. Even if we were enemies, the hate in his eyes when he looked at me still hurt, 'Steven. Do you know who I am?'
'No. Why would I?'
'Oh, Steven. Poor, poor little Steven,' I turned to face the rest of the Crystal Gems, 'I'm hurt. You didn't bother to tell him about me. About his only sister.'
'Sister?!?' Steven gasped. I sarcastically gasped.
'Uh-oh,' I said, mocking the situation, 'Yes Steven,' I smirked turning back to him. 'It's nice to meet you. I'm y/n. I'm your adoptive sister.'
'Y/n? I-I don't remember you. Why are you with Homeworld if my mother adopted you? Why don't I remember you?' Naive little Steven was just too much for me to handle. I was overjoyed to have found my brother. I just wanted to hug him, take him somewhere enjoy my little time with him, but I had to keep my composure in front of the other gems.
'All will be told sooner or later young Steven,' I rested my hand on his shoulder, 'Either by me or your family.' I said through gritted teeth turning back to the Crystal Gems. Amethyst soon came to her senses, shaking her head.
'Guys! Come on! She's not going to give in without a fight!'' Amethyst said, focusing her gaze back on me.
'Right. Gems, let's move!' Garnet said.
