Jayden's POV
I did well today, I think I got nates trust at least... we walked back after getting all we need, I locked up again and we would come back for the last bit another time.. a random zombie came up behind nate who was behind me.. I turned around and stabbed the thing, but I nipped Nate on the way

"Fuck!..." I yelled and mark and Sean turned to look at me

"I-I didn't mean it!... there was a zombie...-"

"It's down Jayden... it's barely bleeding.."

Nate sighed

"It just needs a bandaid..."

He continues and I nod, I then get behind him and walk with my head down, in silence until we get back,

"What wasn't long..."

Amy smiled then seen said holding a part of his shoulder she looked worried

"Jayden when to stab a zombie but somehow managed to nip me... it's not bleeding I just need a bandaid..."

He smiled but I hung my head

"I thought I should let you know i also found 3 knives and a gun with half box of ammo..."

I said to mark who looked surprised

I took everything out of my back pack and put it on to the table that the guys but everything they got on. I then handed mark the weapons...

Felix walked up to me with his hands out, I looked confused for a second

"I still need to take your weapons..."

He sounded upset, I sighed once again and handed them to him.. everything except my pocket knife which no one knew I had

"Now, that was a nice performance and if it wasn't for her we wouldn't have found this... but Nate got hurt... so-"

"You still don't trust me..."

I sighed and he nodded, and then started to get people food... I sat on the steps once again.

After a few minutes Amy came over and handed me a small bit of food, well small in any normal persons eyes, it was an okay amount concerning it was a last minute munch, but the food they had yesterday was like a buffet.

I thanked her but she knew something was up, my fake smiles haven't been good because it's been a while since I used them.

"Are you okay?...I know things are a lot different now but you've survived this long you'll be fine.. I know you had to open up a lot today and this is all new to you again... so it must be difficult but.. I promise you'll be okay here... just try.."

"I just miss my family... my friends, I built up these walls for so long... only letting so many people in... and it's been that way since I was 10... today was the first time I've opened up at like that.. having all those memories come back and then some..."

I sighed and Amy gently put her hand on my back, I flinched a bit but I tried to stay calm, she gently rubbed my back and gave me a small sympathetic smile.

"You have me... if you have no one else here you have me, and you always will... the rest will except you but you need to give them time... also, you need to hide your pocket knife better... I think I'm the only one who has noticed.."

I just nodded more and my body calmed down as well. I looked over at the rest of the group who where sitting down in a circle and I remembered the simpler times...

*Flash Back*

"Come on! You need to ask her out!"

Said Hanna, one of my best friends. Her and Autumn. I'm pansexual, and I had a crush on this one girl.

"Are you crazy?"

I asked with a little laugh

"Come on not like you've never asked a girl out before.."

Said autumn

"Shut up she'll hear you!"

I laughed a bit harder, Hannah had light brown hair that went down to her back, and Autumn had black hair with blue that went to her shoulders, I loved them both.

"I'm not doing that! Anyways, so are we still having that sleep over tonight?"

I asked and both girls smiled...

*flashback over*

I smiled to myself as I think of my old friends, I hope they're still living, and if not I hope they didn't suffer...

"You should go sit with your friends... I'll eat, I will be fine..."

Amy shook her head and smiled

"Your coming with me, sometimes we sit around a fire put back on nicer nights, someone will sing... or tell a story... you will join us... please I promise it will be fun... and if you do, I'll talk to Mark about giving you amber chance..."

She smiled and I sighed once again

"Only this one time!"

I walked over with her

Nate had just finished singing his song 'live long enough to be a hero' and it was amazing

And Amy looked at me

"You wanna try to sing something?"

I shook my head but she insisted, soon I cracked

"I-I'm not by good..."

Nate laughed

"Your probably better then me."

And with that I took a deep breath and sang 'Golden Days' by panic at the disco, and it sounded okay, I forgot how nice it was to sing, it felt like I was the only one in the world.. (can't load another song so just search it if you don't know it)

I opened my eyes after finishing the song and everyone sat in shock.. I blushed and then shivered a little.

"I think I'm going back inside..."

I said as I stood up, mark was about to say something but Sean cut him off before even starting

"I'll go inside with you..."

He looked at mark then at me. I walked inside with Sean close behind, I continued to shiver and Sean smiled

"Do you want one of my blankets for now?"

I nodded, everyone has 2 blankets except me because I'm still new but there's no extras

"You can have it back soon... I don't want to take your things..."

Sean wrapped me up in his blanket gently and looked me right in the eyes

"It's no trouble, I promise..."

He spoke softly... I warmed up on the inside, and his hands and he blanket warmed my outside... the only reason I knew it was still cold was the fact I could see his breath as he spoke...

Dan's POV
Let's just camp out here, the base can't be far... maybe my group is still alive...

"Everyone we sleep on the ground for one more night... I promise it won't be long..."

I said, tow survivors turned into a few more throughout the day... no one is to be trusted but we want o help people as much as we can.. and that means taking chances with other survivors...

"Phil will you take second watch?.."

I asked, I got a nod in return. Let's hope we don't have to be out here much longer...
