Okay so maybe you guys don't know about this, but I really need to get this off my chest. It's been almost a month since this happened as I'm writing this, but I still get upset when I think about it. Okay so please check the image above because this pertains to the lovely guy above.
Recently on twitter a death threat appeared on twitter and was trending. Now the group was on tour, but it only safely attacked him. By the way his name is Jimin. Well the tweets said they were going to a BTS concert in America and they were going kill him. They actually had a map of the arena and where they were sitting circled to tell you where they would be. They also had an image of guns and even told when exactly they would kill him.
Of course the fan base immediately informed the arena and the boys company about everything. Their entertainment company already said earlier that anyone threatening or bashing the boys would be met with legal action. We stared the hashtag #ArmywillprotectJimin and of course it trended for like a week I think. We later found out it was just someone joking around, but that doesn't make it okay.
Earlier this year at an interview one of the members said that no one should go after army's because they would rather them go after them. The fan base of course responded with bash us not them which shows how close the band and fan base are. I literally am so proud of them and proud to be one of their fan base. I have never seen an American group stand up for their fans in a way that BTS does and it makes me so proud.
Now tell me you guys why would someone send death threats? Like what the fuck is that going to accomplish. I know most people will think we overreacted, but what if we didn't say anything and he was hurt? We would feel so bad about keeping quiet or that's what I hope. Now I want to know why him or anyone really.
Let me tell you the things I've learned about Jimin in almost two years of watching this group. He's been repeatedly said to be the member who listens to everyone's problems like dude I want someone to do that for me. He's also really kind and sweet and occasionally he gets flustered and shy. Did they send these threats because he looks good? Because he's got talent? Like really I want to know!
No one should do this. It just isn't right for anyone to do this kind of thing. How would you feel if someone told you they would kill you? Or they told you to kill yourself? Being a person who has depression and anxiety this hit me hard. I haven't had this problem thankfully, but imagine if you had this problem and was told these things. I just want people to understand what's right and wrong and most days I can tell it won't ever happen.
