You're still the one

Chapter 13: The Confession

Asuna took in a deep breath and wiped away her tears. She looked at Rin and said, "Rin, you said you wanted to know my feelings. And that's what I'm here to tell you."

Rin was prepared for anything. If she hated him and never wanted to see him again. If she just wanted to be friends and keep her distance from him. And the one hopeful chance he had, that she would want to be with him. Asuna was nervous. She was now going to put her feelings for Rin into words. She had rehearsed them in her head over and over but, the message Bella had sent from Rin's phone made her forget everything she had to say. Asuna was even doubting wanting to be with Rin because, she knew that girls and guys were always all over him and, he didn't have the reputation of being faithful. She thought, saying her feelings was a big leap of faith. But she had a bit of hope in her as well. The hope that maybe, she was different like the note said. Even if in the end she was nothing but a toy for him, even if it all turned out to be a lie, what she felt for Rin was real. No matter how hurt she might end up, no matter how much it would hurt if he was unfaithful to her, this was her feelings. "R-Rin, I've never felt anything like this before. My heart beats faster every time I see you. I know it's cliché to say but, what I feel for you is like a crazy roller coaster ride. You make me happy, you make me sad, you make me angry, you make me flustered, you confuse me, you show me sides of myself I didn't even know, you make me feel like....there's nobody else that compares to me. You show me different sides of yourself as well....it makes me want to know more. But then I realize that, I only know about as much, as everyone else knows about you. I-i want to feel close to you. I want to be the only one...but then, I get scared. You've never had the reputation of being faithful and no matter how much I want to tell myself what I feel for you isn't real, I just can't anymore. What I feel is undoubtable. I'm not going to hide it anymore. I'm scared to say it, and this word is very meaningful. I wouldn't use it so freely. R-Rin no matter how scared I am of being hurt by you. No matter how much I hate myself for feeling this. No matter how much I want to deny it. I-I-I l-love you!" Asuna blushed, she couldn't believe she told Rin everything. All her emotions, all her thoughts, she told him everything on her mind. Everything she had said wasn't rehearsed anymore. Once she opened her mouth, the words came flowing out. Like a flower that couldn't be contained any longer in its bud. She freely said, "I-I'm in love with you Rin! I-I've been in love with you! A-and no m-matter what you do to me anymore, I-I'll always love you..." she closed her eyes tightly. All of a sudden she felt a tilt of her chin. Rin passionately kissed her. Asuna opened her eyes and noticed Rin blushing, with his eyes shut tightly, as tears began welling up at the corner of his eyes. Asuna blushed and held on tightly to his shirt. She was suppressing her tears as well. Rin broke the kiss and hugged Asuna. She smiled as she felt him, rubbing his face on her shoulder. "What are you doing?" She asked him, and Rin said in a low voice, "This is so embarrassing! I never blush so, this is like really weird..." Asuna chuckled and said, "It's fine. I'm sorry I was so harsh to you...I just didn't want to accept my feelings towards you..." Rin whispered in her ear and said, "I love you too Asuna senpai." Asuna blushed immensely. His words were so soothing. She felt like, she had just gotten a step closer to knowing Rin. She let him hold her tightly, it was a feeling she never wanted gone. She felt overwhelmed with joy and satisfaction. To ruin their moment, an unfamiliar voice to Asuna but, a very familiar voice to Rin said, "This is how low you've gone?" Rin turned around to see Bella standing there with her arms crossed. She walked up to Rin and gently caressed his cheek. "Come on Rin. This isn't really what you want now, is it?~" she slightly pouted. Asuna was starting to feel her joy shattered but, remembered that, no matter how much pain she felt while loving Rin she wouldn't regret telling him her feelings. Asuna saw this more as an opportunity. She would hold back from hitting this girl, just to see if Rin truly loved her the way he claimed to. Rin brushed off Bella's hand and looked her directly in the eyes, "Bella, you were my first love but, there's something I realized. You have no love for anyone but yourself. You play with others and I'm guilty of doing the same but, I've realized something these past few weeks. Someone always comes into your life, someone that isn't like everyone else and sometimes that person doesn't feel the same way, and you just have to move on. I did love you once and I never moved on until, I started my relationship with Asuna. She helped me move on, beyond you. I'm sorry but, now you're alone Bella. You don't have anyone who loves you. Maybe one day you'll find them but, not unless you're willing to be better than the way you are." Bella got angry and slapped Rin. "You fucking bastard! You don't know me! Don't fucking tell me about all this emotions and shit, making me feel like crap! You got yourself a cute one, who's gullible but guess what? You're like me. We don't love anyone but ourselves. That's why you and I are meant to be!" Asuna stepped in between Bella and Rin, "Oh look if it isn't your fucking cunt protecting you!" Bella said in a dramatic tone. Asuna then slapped Bella across her right cheek. "Don't compare Rin to yourself. You're so pathetic following after someone who gave you the chance but, you rejected. That's why I came her today to see Rin. I had the chance to be with the person who loved me and I loved back. But you had the opportunity and gave it up all because, you couldn't stand the idea of being faithful. I hope you find someone else to love your twisted heart." Bella was furious and touched her cheek. She lifted her hand towards Asuna but, Rin grabbed her wrist before she could do anything, "Rin you're going to defend her!?" Rin let go of her wrist and said, "I won't let you touch her Bella. Just because you can't find someone else, doesn't mean you have to ruin my happiness. Because when you love someone you don't care if you're unhappy. As long as the person you love is satisfied then you don't fucking care who they're with." Bella cried and said, "Fuck you both! I hope your relationship ends in the worst fucking way, you bitches!" Belle took off running out of the park. Asuna turned to look at Rin and gently caressed his face, "Are you okay!? She seems to have hit you very hard!" Rin chuckled and said, "I think I'll manage but, maybe a small kiss would help~" Asuna kissed two of her fingers and tapped Rin's cheek, "T-there!" Rin pulled her in by the waist and said, "How adorable!" Asuna decided to ask about what had just happened and said with a bit of despair in her voice, "S-so she was your first love?" Rin nodded and said, "Yes she was but, she's my past and you're my present. The person I love now is you Asuna senpai." Asuna blushed, she was so happy that she didn't think about the next thing she said, "I-I know this is v-very untraditional b-but, R-Rin will you be my boyfriend?!" Asuna felt like dying from the embarrassment. Rin chuckled and kissed her gently on her pale pink lips and said, "After today I thought that was without question." Both Asuna and Rin smiled and laughed. Finally the two of them had confessed to each other the true feelings of their heart, and on top of all that, they were both finally able to truly experience what love felt like, when the person you loved, also loved you back.

Now we finally begin Asuna and Rin's blossoming relationship. (Spoiler) The next chapter will be about a date but, how personal will this date get? And will Asuna find out something about Rin, nobody else knows? -Amaya senpai~
