Hi guys :D

Sorry for the long wait, now that I finished the beginning of this story, this is the chappie that is the beginning of the middle. For some reason, I have ideas on how Rose meets her mate, and I can think of the ending, but I just can't picture the middle just yet. Incase ya haven't noticed yet, I changed the title of this story, I was kinda getting tired of putting Secret Halo, Secret Wings all the time, so sorry about the confusion, if there was any.

OMG, THERE IS OVER A 160 READS ON THIS :O THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL THE READS, AND FOR BEARING WITH MY MOST LIKELY REALLY HORRIBLE STORY!!!

I LUV YOU ALL :D Once again, I am so sorry for the long wait D: I DO NOT OWN THE COVER!!!

"OMG, ALABAMA IS SO PRETTY!" My mom was squealing over a few attractive hills. That's mom for you, she was the more touristy type. Me, on the other hand, didn't think hills and grass were that exciting.

"Look at that, cotton fields, peanut fields, pecans, its so quaint." Agriculture isn't quaint...

Turning my IPod up to avoid her squealing voice, I quietly listened to Miranda Lambert's Mama's Broken Heart.

"WOW ISN'T THAT ANIMAL UGLY! JUST LOOK AT THAT!" I took a look at the poor animal. "Its just an armadillo Mom, it can't help it isn't the prettiest." I then twisted around in my seat and switched off my seat belt, intending to check on the kitty in the back seat.

The kitty was quivering, most likely from nervousness. I felt bad, dragging it into our life of hiding and fear. I took my fingertip and brushed it along its fluffy forehead, feeling the soft silkiness of her fur. "Its going to be okay." Murmuring it, I guess in a way I was talking to myself too. In a way, I was just as scared as the kitty was.

I certainly knew one thing, I wished I had more acceptance like Mom did, to accept my fate, to accept me being angel in the first place.

Acceptance, to me, was like something good in a locked drawer, all the keys I have don't work, that's for sure. I wonder if my acceptance, being locked up all these years, is stale like a moldy sandwich, or maybe its just new and undiscovered, like a caterpillar in its cocoon. I hope that's it, but I had a feeling to earn that key, I would have to learn a lesson in order to open it.

I just hope that lesson isn't horrible and will do me more good than bad.

Using my angel abilities to teleport back to my front seat, my mother giggles, "Imagine if someone on the interstate saw you coming back up here out of nowhere. Now that I would pay to see."

I grinned evilly, "Now that would be fun to watch."

Yet again, I wouldn't want anyone to get a heart attack or anything, it would just be funny as a joke. I then saw a sign that said Welcome to Florida :). "Hey look Mom, we're there." I smiled, and I genuinely meant it.

We were finally in the house we would most likely live in for the rest of our lives. My mom was exploring the kitchen and the living room, while I was exploring the bedrooms.

The east bedroom was gorgeous, with a shiny balcony that seemed to beckon me with its warmth. The bed, definitely luxury, felt like down, for when I lay down on it, the sides immediately threatened to swallow me up like quick sand. That pillows were equally soft, like a marshmallow. My cat, Marshmallow, seemed to know its name, for it was napping luxuriously on the main, fluffiest, hugest, pillow in the room. Well, at least the kitten seemed easy-going.

The west bedroom was just as pretty. This one was decked out completely in pink. It was basically the same as the east bedroom, just different color schemes. I now knew which bedroom I wanted, the east bedroom, and my mom would most likely want the west, since she loved pink so much, I just walked out of the room with my nose held high in disgust at so much pink. I honestly don't get how my mom even likes that color anyway... Walking out of the house, putting on the new blue contacts so I wouldn't have to wear sunglasses all the time, and unloading my luggage.

I didn't notice my feet were starting to get numb till I unpacked every single thing that was going to go in my room. In seconds, my cool posture was turned to a shivering wreck. I was freezing.

I was currently doing little hops to my bed, every once in a while stopping to rub my arms with the little warmth I still had. Right before I plopped onto the bed, I turned on the heater, and then I plunged into the bed like an ice cube going into a container of water. Marshmallow did a half growl half purr sound and changed her position to sleeping right on my mouth, making it look like I had a furry white mustache.

I was too cold too complain, I just let her snuggle there while I let my thoughts freeze like an icy blast, and I was out of it.

I am sooooooooooooo sorry for the long wait DX
