Clary POV
They have made sacrifices for me time and time again. This is my burden and a burden I should face alone. I have weapons , This all I need. If it's anything like last time he probably already has a closet filled with clothes waiting for me to be warn. That morning I memorised the line of his lips.
Jace.
I wouldn't be kissing those again. Once I went with Sebastian, i would most likely never see these people; my family, ever again. Or not until a very, very long time at least. But I would rather be the one distanced from them but know that somewhere in the world they were out there; Alive. Her plan was to visit the Seelie Queen and ask her to contact Sebastian. Just because the cold peace was inclined didn't mean she would father away all her usual connections. Clary knew her best connection was through the faeries. She went out the front door of the institute when walls suddenly darkening, pulsating with red. The alarms were going off. Someone was trying to get into the institute.. She saw her friends; family gathering around screens and calling out to her.
"Clary don't you set foot out of this institute." Jocelyn was raising her voice. Either so Clary could hear her over the pulsating alarm or just so she could effectively show her seriousness. But she wasn't a little kid, she wasn't sweet or innocent. Not anymore. And she wouldn't be persuading it any differently if stayed. But she wouldn't defy her mothers last wish. So she didn't leave. Instead she drew up a portal inside the institute heading to the Seelie Realm. She looked back, she wished she hadn't. They were all staring at her. 'Goodbye. I love you. Always and forever.' She thought. Instead she didn't roam over each individual one as she knew she wouldn't leave; with that she stepped through. It swallowing her up whole and saw as the portal hardened back into a normal wall. Like her decision to hand herself over was just completely bricked back over.* * *
"Don't toy with me madam, I know you still have your connections to him." This was getting tedious. Like a cat chasing a mouse only to find that it was ridiculously fast. She though of Simon -
"How do I know that this is no trap. That the clave won't come through here any moment and prosecute us. I may be a good person at mistelling-the-truth, but I'm wiser than you are. Your stupid to think you have such power over me." The Seelie Queen snapped.
"I know he has power over you. He won't be to happy when he finds out you declined service of his sister, especially of service to see him." I said. She was hesitant and she gave way.
"Very, Well." She said wearily. He even had power over her.***
Clary had been sitting on the ground for what seemed like a century when Sebastian's eyes scanned over her. She felt sick. He had planned to ruin her Parabatai Ceremony, to 'bind' us. He was sick, but these people he had fooled even couldn't recognise that.
"Come Sister, I see that you've chosen to join me." His smile was at most normal, then in a flash it instantly turned vial. He reached out his hand. I took it. While with my other hand taking a small pocket knife to jab through his hand. Pain. This is what he needed to feel before his death. Before I killed him.. He flew the pocket knife from my hand, his face with at most alert. He turned me around so that his hands were coming from behind me, sprawling across my stomach and down to my thighs. Stinging occurred. The side of my neck heating up while something pierced the skin.
"Just a sedative, just to take the edge off -"
The room started to dissolve together into black becoming my entire field of vision, being all I could see.
