Clary POV
My eyes were stuck together, rubbing them they awoke. Amantis was next to my bed.
"Amantis...Your Alive?" Even I could hear the frustration in my voice. None of this was making sense. As I looked around. It was oddly familiar. It was my bedroom. The bedroom I had before I was introduced into the Shadow world. The room when I lived with my mother. When I was Safe. Every inch was the same, from the wallpaper to the posters to the furniture. It was an identical match.
"What the hell is going on?." I said sitting up. I still was groggy. I felt half asleep trying to make myself alert.
"Lord Sebastian will give you the answers you desire." The way she talked and walk indicated that she was proud. 'Proud of what, though?'
"When you hear one chime you must go to the dining room.
If you hear a second chime that means there is an emergency. For whatever reason you are to go to your cells." She walked over to my closest and opened the door.
"This is accessible through this latch at the bottom of everyone's closet. You open the tab and jump down. There you will fall into your cell." Clary looked underneath the tab. She thought she saw people down below but any chance of finding out was gone. Amantis dropped the latch down so that I couldn't see anymore. She continued -
"Three chimes means you are to go to your room. Four chimes indicates that you will go to your room and once you have done so you will...Well you will find out soon enough what happens on those occasions." Amantis smirked but which looked like sympathy for a moment.
"Chimes? What are you- I wish to speak with my brother." I wasn't
going to sit here and get half answers from Amantis. Get your information right from the source. "Oh, he was counting on it." She returned sneering. Once they walked out of Clarys bedroom the hallways were grey, darkened. Along the floor was white lights indicating for us to turn right. Clary could see that her bedroom was the furthest from everyone else's. She was at the very end. Since a wall blocking a left turn she turned right as the lights directed. She went travelled forward in the hallway passing several rooms. This place was huge. There would have had to be an escape. But that wasn't what she was looking for. Not yet at least, her presence kept her family safe from Sebastian. Her absence however would only enforce pain upon them. She couldn't stand the thought, so she pushed the thought aside. They had thrown her off. She realises that she should have been paying attention to where she was going. She needed to have some idea of how to navigate around this place. She abruptly came to a stop as she looked at the situation at hand infront of her.
"Clary -" Simon squirmed Simon was here. They all were. They sat at a huge dark wooded table. Their hands all directed behind their backs. Their eyes all puffed and red except her Mother and Luke's.
"What are they -" I started -
"Sister, it's just precautions. Lilith wouldn't be pleased if I let these..these...Individuals sabotage her living quarters" he spat
"What on Earth are they doing here Sebastian!" She started toward him and found hands clasped around her shoulders holding her back.
"Sit Sister, or you will go straight to your room. No answers given."
She sat at the appointed seat across at the other end of the table.
"When I was 'dead' I found out something. Death is never the end in such a world like this. I saw Lilith and she knew a Warlock that could push me from the dead side back to life. Once I awoke, so did my endarkened, you see." He nodded his head towards Amantis talking to others. Guards supposedly.
"What do they have to do with any of this. You said if I came you would spare Magnus' Safe Haven along with the rest of them."
"I talked about the children Sister, not your friends." His smile evolving wider.
"Your my first priority Sister, and they are yours. I thought it would be fun to have them come along." He added, he giggled slightly to himself clearing thinking that this was amusing.
"Go to your rooms, all of you. They have been fed and provided accomodation sister I promise." Sebastian said with that stupid grin on his face. I want to slap it right off. And apparently Jace and Simon thought the same thing.
"You bastard." I can't tell if it was Simon or Jace who said it. But they both got up from their seats at the table and ran for Sebastian. They are strong, but they aren't a match. I get up from my chair to settle it when a guard lunges at me. I don't know him but he grabs me from my waist and tries to haul me out of the room. I don't know if it's because his grip is around my stomach so hard but I feel a piercing pain. Then there is screaming. Screaming. Screaming. I didn't realise it was my own voice over the loud thumping in my ears..
