Demi's POV

Soooo last night...
After our little "walk" we came back to the tent where we submitted to the cliché of roasting marshmallows over the fire. I had mentioned to Jae that I hadn't slept well the previous night, so we pretty much dropped into the tent-bed where i apparently fell asleep REALLY close to her. She was quick to tease me over it when we awoke.

"What are you smiling at?" Jae looked over and grinned.
"Ohh nothing just thoughts..." I smirked, "you want some help with that?" Realising the bag that she's tugging at is probably too heavy. I laughed at her numerous attempts to prove me wrong and lifted it with her.

"So..." Jae plopped into the drivers seat with a sigh of relief.
"Now that that's over with, what's the plan for today?" she looked over to me.

I thought on that for a moment; seeing Jae's lips form a slow smirk from the corner of my eye.
She was just about to either comment or laugh about my concentrating face when I piped up.
"Let's just drive? Follow the signs... adventure!" I grinned.

Jae simply laughed and fired up the engine, clearly showing off. I'm hoping we come across a nature walk or something aesthetic. It's all too nice being out here in the wilderness with someone you're actually comfortable with, no paparazzi, no worries.

Jae's POV

Back on the open road, it's an easy drive. I get time to glance at Demi, although when I do it's as if time stops; so a glance feels more like a gaze.
But don't panic, the last thing on my to-do list is steer off the road in distraction.
The windows are slightly down, Demi's head resting on her hand. Her beautiful brown locks flowing in motion with the wind.
I shake my head trying to clear it of these deep thoughts, she just takes me to another place, what can I say?

"What was that about?" Letting out a slight giggle, Demi's sights now locked onto me. I could feel her eyes and I didn't know how to even answer, shifting in my seat subconsciously; she laughed.

"Do I make you nervous?" She moved her hand over and placed it on my thigh.
We caught each others eyes for a few seconds, her brown orbs drawing me into a state of bliss.
I looked down at her hand, and back at the road again.
After a few minutes of calm silence...

"Yes." I said.
Again, we locked eyes and I could see that she knew I was answering her question.
My hand accidentally brushed over hers after changing gear, unexpectedly she moved it so hers was on top of mine.
Palms together, fingers almost intertwined. She lay it there for a while and I could tell how completely relaxed she felt, as did I.

In just an hours drive, we sung in harmonies, talked in coalition and crossed gazes in sync.
I could feel her looking at me in the silent moments, scanning my face, my body. I like knowing that she is observant; and a little sneaky about it too.

"Here we are beautiful." Parking the car - I looked over to her, taking in the natural colour of her cheeks when a flush of heat arose upon them.
"You're going to have to stop doing that!" She grinned and pecked my cheek.
"Doing what?" I raised my eyebrow at her.
Demi pulled down the sun screen and slid open the mirror to reveal that I was in fact too - blushing.

"Okay smart ass." I laughed, "Lets go!" Little did Dem know, I happen to know exactly where we are. To her; it may look like a creepy gap in a giant forest, but to me it is the pathway to a phenomenal viewpoint. Okay, so maybe I'm being a little cheesy, and maybe I've suddenly just turned into some massive soppy hopeless romantic - but I've never actually seen this side to myself before.

I'm learning... and I think I love it.
