There was a silence, a silence that Visenya hadn't had the privilege to encounter since she returned to Westeros. It had reached the early hours of the morn, the bliss of silence was soon a mere memory in her mind, as Robert approached, silence did not exist in the presence of the King, frankly it never had.
"Visenya, you need to marry," Robert spoke making his point dead and clear. "Perhaps I could let you marry Ned's eldest son."
"I'd sooner marry his 'bastard' before I gave Eddard the privilege of marrying an heir to me, after Arthur Dayne was slaughtered by his sword."
"Visenya! That was years ago, you were but a child, you will do as I say! I am King," Roberts voice bellowed, echoing through the forest surrounding them.
"If what happened in the past shall not matter in the present, why do you keep sending attempts on the Targaryen children's lives? Better yet, last time you threatened me, I sailed to Valyria, you have never had rule over me Robert Baratheon, and you never shall. My last point to be made is, a man who must say he is king, is truly not king dear brother."
Little did the pair know, a lion was once again standing guard, watching the exchange between the siblings, the longer Jaime Lannister observed the Baratheon woman the more entranced he became with her, the more he thought of her, the less he thought of his dear sister, it was quite the predicament.
Clatter of hooves was all that was heard, occasionally Robert would spew shit from his mouth, and every low born and high born alike would rise to kiss his ass. Visenya simply observed each and every one that was amongst the party. Winterfell's gates were visible in the distance, Visenya was rather excited to see the young bastard, Rhaegar's bastard, who had been disguised as a wolf.
The guardsmen entered momentarily before the King, Cinis, Visenya's horse trotted in silently behind Robert. She dismounted, her white dress, and cloak falling in a fluid movement behind her. She walked forward to watch Robert greet his old friend.
"You got fat," were the only words spoke, once it was spoke all eyes turned to the plump oaf of a king.
Eddard Stark, simply gestured to the mans larger stomach, and the two embraced.
Visenya was looking amongst the line for Lyanna's son, Jon Snow, she could hear introductions being made, although she was rather unconcerned with anyone except the bastard. She finally set eyes upon a handsome man next to the Greyjoy heir, looking exactly like his father with a northerners brand.
Robert spoke loudly, "My sister Visenya has returned!" on cue she waltzed forward. All eyes were immediately on her, gazing at the formerly dead woman.
"Hello, Lord Stark, Lady Catelyn, I look forward to making your acquaintance," there was a diplomatic tune to her voice, she knew how to use her words around people.
The northerners were rather brutal with their honesty as opposed to the flowery southerners.
"Welcome back Visenya, I hope Winterfell is to your liking," Lady Catelyn spoke softly, trying to figure out the woman before her.
It was then Robert Baratheon decided to make more of a fool of his Queen, wife, by demanding to see Lyanna Stark's tomb. It really was easy to see the Queens dismay, and reason to be with someone more loving, even if it was her brother.
Visenya made way to the training yards where she had witnessed the men return to, she entered, watching Jon carefully, calculating, reminiscing in what could've been without war.
Theon Greyjoy was the first to notice the woman, he elbowed his close friend, not wanting Jon to ruin a chance of bedding a royal beauty. "The King's sister is watching you!" He spoke in a hushed whisper, but his tone was full of excitement.
"I thought she was pronounced dead, didn't she sail for Valyria?" Jon was questioning, too much for Theon.
"Who cares she royalty and watching you!"
Visenya, against the knowledge of the men, heard every word of their conversation, and had come to the conclusion that Theon Greyjoy would burn for the way her spoke of her, wether it be her doing or a sadistic bastards it would happen.
She slowly approached them, Theon greeted her first, and she ignored him. "Jon Snow, it's quite nice to finally meet you, I've heard much of you, I have to say you do not disappoint."
To say the man was confused was rather an understatement, why had this woman paid no attention during his families introductions, yet went out of her way to meet him, a lowly bastard.
"My Lady, it is an honor to meet you, although I know not of why you would have heard much of me," Jon spoke humbly as always."My name is Visenya, do use it, you're quite the young man but you know nothing Jon Snow," Visenya spoke softly, not in a rude tone, it was not Jon who was at fault for his uncles fraud. Little did Jon Snow know that would not be the last time he heard those lines. He pondered upon what the woman meant as he watched her figured vanish into the castle.
