chapter 5: down by the river

Jamie's pov

Before I could even react or say something to this piece of trash, Jayden grabbed a vase and threw it at my face. I was knocked out cold after. I hope imprint is okay...

3rd person pov

Jayden made a note saying where the guys could find her, if they see this in time. You see, Jayden has mental disorders and was sent to a hospital so he could get better.He's a psychotic person that wouldn't let Jamie go after she left him. What did he do exactly? well that's for Jamie to tell you guys.He has escaped from the hospital to try to find her again, and no one told her that he has escaped, so she wasn't prepared for this. Actually, she had no one before she joined the management. But that's another story too. Jayden has been stalking her ever since she left for atl to go on tour with them.

Imprint reacted quickly and pulled out his belt, but then Jayden look out his gun and shot him in the shoulders. Jayden took Jamie's body and threw her over his back. He then got into his vans and stuffed her in the back, driving to a bridge on the outskirts of Atlanta. He tied her over the ledge before standing there waiting to throw her in the river, and watch her die. She has an hour and a half left. Maybe she'll wake up in the middle of this.

Teo's pov

I'm still upset about what happened. She been on my mind 24/7. No girl has ever make me feel this type of way. I was eating some rap snacks until I hear a loud bang in her room. Should I check? Maybe she's ok cuz her and imprint always be doing crazy shit together. But I have a gut feeling something is up. Ion hear no laughter or nun. I try to open the door that is connected to her room but it wouldn't budge. What the fuck?

"Aye guys , you alright?"

No one answers.

I try to pry the door open but it wouldn't open. You know what ima have to use some super-spy kinda shit. I take a bobby pin and stick it in the lock, turning the door and I hear a click noise. My mouth drops wide open when I see what in front of me. It looks like a whole mess. I see imprint on the ground groaning in pain. There's blood coming outta his shoulder and he's holding it tight. I pull out my phone ready to call 911 but he grabs me with his bloody hands and points to the nightstand, where there was a note card.

'If you call the opps, she's gonna die. And do not call the hospital for imprint. I left a first aid kit on the table so he should be fine for a couple hours. I WILL KNOW IF YOU GET THE OPPS INVOLVED OR IF YOU TRY TO SEND IMPRINT TO THE HOSPITAL. Now depending on when you read this card, you have about and hour and a half until I drop her into the river, not saving her. Better hurry! And I wrote this card at 8:00pm. Oh and we at the bridge at the end of the city, to the west.'

WHAT THE HELL?! I tell imprint that he's gonna be ok, knowing damn well that he's not.

" Save my bestfriend." He whisperers before passing out. I call ayo telling him to cut the shit because Jamie in danger and imprint abouta die. Ayo and Key run over here and I tell Ayo to get the first aid kit and try to take the bullet outta Benny's shoulder. He quickly does that while I read him the note. My hands are shaking from fear and my eyes have tears falling out.

"Call kida, dee dee, bonzes, everyone. We gotta save her. And who tf is Jayden?" Ayo says and I don't respond to his question. I call everyone and they say they coming. Not even 5 minutes has passed and everyone in the room, shocked. I re read the note again.

"Man I can't lose another brother." I say.

"Aye, we gotta go man it's 9pm. We got 30 minutes." Bonzes says handing us guns and knives. Where this mans get these from? Ayo is done stitching up imprint and we all run the the van. Ayo puts imprint down in the back while everyone filled the seats in. Key and I were in the front. He was driving.

"Nigga SPEED UP WE LOSING TIME." I say and key steps on the pedal. Then, just as the headlights on the truck shine of the white van, I see a dude wearing all black. I turned my head slightly and I see a girl over the edge of the bridge. KKJGFCSUYEN THAT'S JAMIE.

The vans screeches and we all come out with our guns and we walk up the that dirty looking boy.

"Aw I see you guys made it. oh I had had a feeling your friends would come too." Just as he said that, 10 buff guys jumped outta the van. They were all tatted and had white wife beaters on. I swear I could feel the ground shake as they were walking. They look like living steroids.

5 minutes remaining

We all started arguing, telling him to get her off the ledge. But he wouldn't listen. Over all the yelling, I hear someone screaming help. I turned around to see Jamie has woken up. Her clothes were ripped and bloody, and her forehead and right side of her body was covered in glass. The vase.

30 seconds remaining

I scream her name and start running toward her. She has about 50 feet away from me. I was about to reach out and grab her hand but she fell over the ledge, screaming.

Then,it seems as if time stopped. I stood there stunned. I couldn't move. My body was frozen. All the noise was blocked out. I just stood there. Until I hear my name in the background, then time starts to move again and everything comes back to me.

"MATEO!" I hear Ayo yell. But I couldn't answer. I just stare at the bridge. Everyone comes over here and I hear cars screeching away. I turn my head so quick with anger, I run after the van, shooting the Draco at the wheels.

"MATEO! MATEO STOP!" Ayo yells as he snatches the draco away from me. I hear the ambulance and police from around the corner. I can't believe I couldn't save her. I drop down to the ground, and I cry. Then I start seeing black spots and I close my eyes.

Ayo pov

I pick my little brother up and run to the ambulance. Bonzes fled with all the guns so he wouldn't get caught but he hopes only the best for her. I was sitting in the ambluance, my leg was shaking from all this stress. Everyone followed us in the van.

I just can't believe we couldn't save her. I just hope she's alive. I don't know what I'd do if I lost her. She means the world to me.
