chapter 15: fixing things

Jamie's pov 

I've been in the hospital for 3 weeks now. I have bad lungs from the fire but I can take medication to fix it. I haven't even been no where expect for the bathroom. And every time I take a breath it kinda feel like I just ran the mile at school. 

I don't even know what's up wit everyone else? And where the hell that nigga Jayden at? He better be on death row. Tried to kill me twice. Fuck you think I was, a cat wit 9 lives? 

My friend Carla has been staying with me in the hospital since the accident. Key called her crying when everyone was at the hospital. They dating now. 

Teo, Key, imprint, Zay, Zay's gorgeous girlfriend who has a really confusing name, those guys that are always at flipcity wit them, dee dee, Jack,  bonez, girllll it was like a whole party in here, with balloons and teddy bears and shit.  Even Kida flew here from California to visit us. 

It makes me happy. To see that I have people who care for me. All my life I've never gotten all this.

"Hey, we gon visit Ayo now." Key says and everyone leaves. 

Finna take a nap. 

Ayo's pov  

My leg got burned when I tried to save Jamie. But it's just a first degree burn so it's already pretty much healed. But I'm constantly coughing cuz I inhaled hella smoke. Everyone came to visit me. 

"Ay, why you save her when you know you could've died." Bonez asks. 

"Cuz if I just let her die in the fire like that, I would hate myself forever cuz before that happened we didn't fix things between us. Man I see a future wit dat girl. Can't let no stupid fire take that away." 

"Aww cute. I'm gonna tell her you said that." Carla says. 

We talk some more and joke around. 

It feel good to be alive.

A month since the fire

Teo's pov

So Ayo perfectly fine now, just coughing every once in a while. Same with Jamie. But yo I just bought my first crib. 

I still got feelings for the girl and I think it's gonna be that way forever. But ima just let them fix themselves and not interfere. Like I be keeping big things away from him. He still don't know I paid that ho 150 that night at the party. And Jamie don't even know about it either. And there's Ayo's baby which he doesn't know about. But maybe something happened to it cuz the babymama turned into a crackhead. 

We had an extra room in the crib so we let Jamie live with us. She don't got no home. And she make bomb food. Ya'll know how much I love food. 

"AHHHHHHHHH OMG!" I hear Jamie scream. Both Ayo and I run to the kitchen and she's jumping up and down, cheesing extra hard. 

"Girl what's up witchu?" Ayo says smiling. 

"Dude... BAPE JUST ASKED ME TO DO A COLAB WITH THEM." She grabbed both of our arms and starting laughing. 

"Like how this even happen? I ain't know my clothing was known by other people. It usually just in the DMV area." She grabs some coconut water from the fridge. 

DMV=  D.C , Maryland, and Virginia. Some people also think the D stands for Delaware but I think it's dc 

"We proud of ya girl. Placing yourself on the map like us." Ayo kissed her cheek and I hugged her.

Jamie's pov

So since Ayo and Teo had a couple days off before their next concert we went to an amusement park. Key, imprint, and khii came with us. 

They all screamed like bitches on the roller coasters. 

Especially Teo.

Fucking broke my eardrums. 

But anyways, imprint won a huge squirtle and gave it too me. 

Me and khii dumped a lotta water on Key making him freak out. 

Ayo and I spent the whole day with each other and it seemed like nothing bad has happened. 

After spending the whole day as the park, everyone crashed at the crib. Khii took the couch. Key and imprint slept in my room and I slept with Ayo. 

I was on the bed facing the window, looking at the night sky and buildings. Ayo comes outta the bathroom and puts his arms around my waist. 

"I had fun today. I'm glad we could fix everything and be friends again." Ayo says as he snuggles into my neck. 

"You sure friends sleep together?" I say.

"No I don't think we kiss each other either." He leans in and I got to feel his big soft lips on mine. Things escalated quickly and welllllll....................

What's that noise I'm hearing coming from Ayo's room? I'm just over here tryna sleep. 💀

But im thinking of another flashback with Jayden next chapter.

I feel like my story all over the place.
