chapter 6: life or death

Jamie's pov

I woke up in a white room. There was nothing there, expect a light source. I look down and I'm wearing all white. Wait, did I die? I keep walking towards the end, where the light source is. Then, I see my pet dog? I think I'm in heaven. My dog died 3 years ago.

"Hi." It said and I screamed.

"Ikr, a dog talking to you. But don't worry. I'm just here to tell you that you can choose to stay here or go back down and live your life. And I'm here to show what we have here in this safe haven." My dog said said to me.

I follow her and she leads me into this grand space. There were clouds in the atmosphere, a pool, chandeliers, everything elegant.

"Now if you choose to stay here, you won't be able to go back to Earth, but you will be happy for the rest of your life. But, if you go back down, your could live a life of not being lonely and you are able to make your own choices, but I cannot protect you from any consequences that may happen."

I think deeply about that. I could be happy here, forever. But I'd have no friends or family. Or I could live and determine my own future, but bad things may happen?

"Come on it's time for you to choose." My dog said as she led me back to the room where I woke up. She put me back to sleep and it was now my decision whether or not I wanted to live or go to heaven.

I opened my eyes. I hear the faint sound of a monitor beeping. There was a tv in front of me and some food. Flowers and cards were at the small desk to the left of me. I choose to live. I hear footsteps and I turn to see a doctor holding a clipboard.

"Wow, you're finally awake." He says as he records some things.

I open my mouth to speak but my throat is dry. He hands me some water and I take a big sip.

"How long have I been here? How did you find me? Where are my family and friends? If there something wrong with me-"

"Calm down there, you've been in a coma for 2 weeks. Police gathered a search and you were knocked out cold in the river. I performed surgery on you to get all the glass out. There is nothing wrong with you, just some scars. And the man, Jayden cole is in jail for 25 years for attempted murder.Everyone is outside, but since you just woke up, i'm letting your family go first and then your friends. Your friend, Benny, is behind the curtain. I thank the doctor as my family walks in.

a few moments later (Or after she done talking to da fam)

After my family leaves saying they have to ship out some items today (From her clothing business thing) I open the curtains and I see Benny eating some hot fires and talking to dee dee.

"Hey guys." I say weakly.

"OMG BESTFRIEND! I SO HAPPY YOUR'E ALIVE." He gets up as fast as he could and jumps in my bed. I swear he weighs like 500000989797 pounds cuz the bed sounds like it's abouta break. 😂

Dee Dee then tells everyone to come in. Teo comes running up to me, cryinggggg. He keeps saying he's sorry for not saving me in time but I keep telling him it's ok. Ayo gives me a kiss on the lips. Man I'd never get tired of those lips. Everyone is so happy and we all jus sharing jokes.

"Hey, Jayden's in jail right? Cuz that what the doctor says." I say to everyone.

"Yea that straight, buh who Jayden?" Dee Dee says.

Everyone agrees wanting to know who he is.

"He's my ex. I went out with him 2 years ago but I broke up with him after I found out how crazy he is. He wouldn't take no for an answer. And he abused me. But I'm not comfortable talking about that." I say as tears form at the rim of my eyes.

"You don't have to talk about him if you don't want to." Ayo says.

"No, everyone should know. Jayden never told me he has mental disorders. He never even told me he killed his own parents when he was 9. After I sent him to go to a hospital to get him some help, that's when the doctors told me. He was in there for 6 months before getting released, and i thought I'd never have to see him again. But there he was, hiding behind trees and bushes, talking pictures of me. Never would I have thought he was this psychotic person. When I first meet him, he was so sweet and kind. He took me out to this fancy restaurant and asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes of course. It was going great the first couple months, but then sometimes I saw him killing birds or squirrels, and laughing too. I thought maybe it was just a phase.

But then, he started pressuring me to do things I didn't wanna do. Like rob banks and to kill people with him. I was like wtf is he thinking? When I would say no, he'd punch or slap me. Then, one night, things got heated in his room, and I wanted him to stop because I wasn't ready to have sex, but he didn't listen. I punched his face and he got super angry. Nothing Iv'e ever seen before. And before I knew it, he hand cuffed me to the bed, ripped off my panties....and then he...he...rape-" I started choking up tears and I dug my face in my hands. Imprint then dropped his hot fires and he put him arm around me, comforting me.

"It's ok, you don't have to tell the rest. Don't worry, we all here for you, and ready to beat him up if he escapes from jail." Imprint said as he kissed my forehead. Everyone joined in for a group hug and it was pure silence and peace.
